Rogue hybrid

Looking to add a 17 degree rogue hybrid in to use as a 4 wood type club. Would use the same recoil shaft as in my irons for consistency. Anyone else doing something similar, and how have people been like the rogue hybrids vs the fairways?

Go with the Rogue X Hybrid if you're looking for more distance. They are also very easy to hit.

Interesting. I have a Rogue 3 Hybrid and it’s also the only hybrid I’ve liked. It has a hzrdus Black 85X but I can still hook it a little bit. Why and how much did you hot melt it? I’m still trying this shaft and will switch to KBS prototype if I can’t get it to work.

The Rogue hybrid and fairway we’re the easiest to hit and straightest for me. 3-wood isn’t super useful on my course so I’m considering going 2 and 3 hybrid.

What kind of distance gap are you seeing on the 3 hybrid vs fairway?

I typically like a 4 wood off the tee because 3 woods often gap too close to driver these days

I don't own the 3-wood but from the fitting my total avg. was 259 yds, hybrid total avg. was 228 yds. Both of those were hit off the deck. He put me in the 3+ because I hit the ball so high but have been thinking about the 2 hybrid or 15* 3-wood.

FYI, I've only hit them with 85g shafts. Not sure the weight you're considering.

I have been tinkering between my apex hybrid, a m2 tour 5 wood a UDI driving iron. Recently decided to get the rogue hybrid with a even flow black shaft. It has taken a little to get use to the look but it really is the best of all worlds for me. Forgiving, mid flight and pretty long. Now I just have to unload all of the other stuff before my wife kills me.

I have had a 3 standard head and a 3 SZ and i was seeing about a 30 yard gap.

I have a 17 rogue hybrid that I use primarily like a 5 wood. It’s a great club and very giving, but at the end of the day, it hits it lower than a 5 wood with less spin, which is great off the Tee. It does create a longer gap in between my 3 iron than I like. When you’re trying to use the club to hit a rock hard green on a long par 5, the Rogue 17 doesn’t work as well as a 5 wood. I seem to get more launch and spin with a 5 wood, yet hit it the same distance. I think that’s why you see so many pros bagging a 5 wood these days instead of a low lofted hybrid. I’m going back to a 19 hybrid, for a little more launch and spin, but will interchange it with my 5 wood depending on the course.

Exact same here, see sig, Cobra 2/3 utility and Rogue 3 Hybrid. I've hit the Cobra a lot more and man is it safe for me. It is shorter (shaft length) and not as long distance wise as the Hybrid. The Hybrid has not been as accurate but I've only used it a few times. It hasn't got me in trouble it has just not been dead straight. I think I'm going to buy and install the KBS Prototype in it and see what happens. The Cobra Utility only seems slightly longer than my Rogue Pro 4i unfortunately. The Hybrid launches higher and that is where I like the Utility iron. I hit everything very high so wind starts to hurt me a lot. Tough decision and a swing that needs work.

I have assembled my 4 iron through 60* with recoil 780 shafts, this hybrid has that shaft as an option so that is 90% of my thinking. Trying to get my bag as simplistic as possible.

Pro orange 70tx in driver and still recoil in tbe rest, makes little sense but seems to be working

I just picked up the Rogue Hybrid tonight. I’ve never been able to hit hybrids either. I was testing out an Epic the other day and liked it but when I went back today GG had a used Rogue for $10 less. I hit both a fair amount and got 10 yards more with the Rogue.

Just for comparison sake I tried to hit the Cobra F7 which is the last one I owned and couldn’t hit - I still couldn’t hit it, but had no problem picking the Rogue back up and hitting it.

I also got a great deal - $99.

Callaway will bend their hybrid +/- 2* for the lie angle, it is an option in the online store.

Anyone have any luck bending these a couple degrees flat? I love the idea of a Rogue X 20 or 23 bent a couple degrees flat.

I think someone said this already, Rogue hybrids can be bent +/- 2 degrees.

~ It is easiest if you custom order the club from Callaway with the lie angle adjustment when you buy the club.

>> If you already have one at standard specs you could send it back to Callaway to have them adjust the lie angle.

Edit, I do not see an option on the online store to change lie angle on the Rogue X

What is the difference between the Rogue and Rogue X?

x is a bigger head and more forgiving. Thing is a hammer.

I’ve really enjoyed hitting the rogue x hybrids. Put a good swing on one and it takes off like a rocket.
