RM 22 players, looking for feedback

Looking for feedback on Fourteen RM 22 wedges. They look like a little bit of a bigger wedge. Curious to know how they would react on Texas hardpan? Trying to decide between these and 1957 series Y grind for gap wedge. Interested in the 57 Y grind because it looks very compact. Have read great things about both products. The ground here in Dallas can get pretty dried out and hard, especially in summer.

My two Cents..... I have played Mizuno , Scratch , Vokey offerings and last year I jumped on a deal from Peoples Golf on Fourteen RM-22 Raw wedges. I custom ordered with Modus 3 125 Wedge Shafts in

Raw 50-07 , 54-07 & 58-12. The finish on these wedges is outstanding however the feel isn't as soft and responsive as I expected compared to the Scratch and some Mizuno offerings but they felt good and solid.

I went to Florida on a golf vacation in January right after I purchased them and that proved to be a fatal mistake. The bounce and sole on my set didn't work well on tight lies and hardpan at the courses I played and I quickly lost interest and sold them before I beat them up and added them to my "Pro Shop" in the basement.

Thanks Tzoid. Appreciate the feedback. I was looking into scratch as well, but so many grind options it can get tough trying to gather the right information with all of the grind options.

I agree. It's not as soft as other jdm like miura or even mizuno.

Scratch is no longer in business so anything you may find is used or new old stock. I actually have some 58 degree heads in "like new" condition if you're interested PM me

I play the rm22 in Florida. I’ve also played them in tight lies.

 

They are not the softest wedges I’ve ever played but they are the best.

Play the 58/08 off tight lies in the RM-12 and RM-22 with no problems. The 58/12 Fourteen wedge would not be my choice for tighter lies.

Thanks for this. A club to simplify the tight lie high pitch is what I am after. I love my old RM12 58.12, but I would like to try the Delta sole and maybe a little lower bounce. If the RM22 plays like the RM12 that would be great because that one is a classic.
