Do you think I could handle X flex mid launch shaft with about 104-106? I'll be working with Monte this summer to hopefully gain some more MPH but I can swing pretty smooth and be around there. 3w right around 100.

I'd see no reason why you can't.

 

Depending on the shaft it may just not load as smooth, but I always find dispersion to be tighter w/ X vs S

Yeah I've seen a lot of tests online from higher swing guys who go from A up to X and while distance didnt change massively, the X always seemed to give best dispersion. I also hate having to play for a 20 yard draw with most of my clubs... I'd honestly prefer a baby draw or even a fade. I can't control the big swoops. I know some of it is me... but I never had that issue when I played C tapers or PX's in my irons, nor when I used a Black tie in the driver.

Smoothest low launch iron shafts out there if you ask me.

 

They're pretty rare and not well known about, but if you like the launch and flight of X100 but want something smoother you'd never look back after switching to Super Peening Blue's

Really really like it! Actually started 2018 w/ an M3 and couldn’t make myself like it (it was the 440 version)

 

So happy I gave the 460 a chance because it’s such a great club! I’ve never struggled with spin so this weight position creates High launching, low spin bombs. Every bit as forgiving as G400 or M2

Very nice set up, mine is very similar. I am jealous that you found a button back. I bought one last year but spent way too much on my bag, wife found out, and had to sell it. Goal is to get one back this year. Been resisting switching to the M3, as my M2 is a monster, but I really wish I could get some roll out of it. Hit one the other day that flew 350 but ended up 349. Was thinking this weight set up might help.

I have been resisting going to the Vapor Fly. What are your thoughts in comparison to the 790 that you had earlier in the year?

 

I like it a lot more so far, but I think that has more to do w/ the shaft than the head. The P790 and Vapor Fly Pro are pretty comparable on feel (maybe slightly softer and less clicky w/ Nike) but the Tensei Pro White 90TX was a little stout/boardy/low launch for what I was looking for.

 

As strictly a tee-shot club, the P790 + Tensei combo was stellar. But I like my driving iron to also be somehting i can play from 245 out on a par 5 and land soft, and the P790 just didn't do that for me. The NIke Vapor Fly Pro w/ AD-95X hits a massive peak height and lands like a butterfly - but is also versatile enough to hit a mid-launch bullet off the tee box.
