Similar hybrid/iron shafts to hzrdus black 105x

I have picked up a Nike vapor Fly Pro 2 iron, I want to put a graphite shaft in it that’s over 100g. I would like a project x hzrdus black 105 shaft but wills people is sold out, is there any other recommendations? Would a diamana thump hybrid play similar? Any other recommendations are welcomed! Play Kura kage XD 70tx in driver and rombax p95x in 3 wood.

I have used a Matrix Black Tie hm3 105, and currently use a Tensei Pro White 90. I would suggest both of these, and the Tensei comes in 100, if you prefer the heavier.

X is 100g

 

This is the shaft , In X Flex. It is stiffer than the TX flex in the butt.

 

Comes in raw 42" length .370 parallel tip , and can be tipped a little extra

before the taper to .355" and install. Will get the tip to the TX stiffness.

 

This shaft is stout. Looking at the OP's signature , I would guess he would

have the speed to make it work. I have used this shaft in hybrid builds for

2 players with 120+ driver speeds. UST lists this shaft as mid / low....

Trust me ..it plays low / low.... HZRDUS Black low....

I have hit the HZRDUS 105 and it reminds me of a graphite version of a c taper.

 

I have also played a VTS black 100 x and it is not close to the HZRDUS 105. The HZRDUS is much lower launch and stiffer.

The thump is really not that low launching. its just really low torque and feels stiff. I have the bend profile image saved i will post up.

in their drivers and C-Taper 130X in their irons. I used tour issue TM SLDR hybrid heads with the VTS black 100X HY shafts tipped 1.5".

Agree with Tolls. I have a TPW I’m trying out in a 3w and the TPW 95tx I have in my 2udi is a much stouter overall feel. I was worried I went too light with the 95 but I read some older posts from Tolls and Gio that convinced me to go with the 95 for a driving iron and I’m glad I did.

If it was going into a hybrid I would’ve went 105.

If its any help, I had a Mizuno MP-h4 2 iron with the hm3 105 Black Tie and thought it was the greatest ever; but tried a Titleist TMB 2 iron with the Pro White 90, and forgot all about the Mizuno/Black Tie combo. Put a Pro Orange in driver, from Black Tie, and a Pro Blue in 3 wood, from Red Tie, and couldn't be happier!

I just put in a UST prototype 110f5 into my tmag UDI 18*. It doesn’t suit my swing. I previously was using the C Taper Lite 115 and did hit it well, just wanted to find more distance. I’m losing the ball both ways with the UST. It’s almost as if the tip is a lot softer and not able to get into the proper position at impact. Just trailing some, if that makes sense..

 

Where did you fine the BLK TIE? I’ll need to find one to try.

Interesting, the 105 felt similar to a current 115g shaft I have at home. Will pick it up today, if I don’t like the matrix I will more that likely just put x100 and play same shaft as my irons
