Ugh. In Gee is certainly not out of it, but a so-so 2 under round isn't making things easy. She needs to string together four solid rounds one of these weeks. She's not the type of of player who is going to shoot 63 on Sunday to steal a win.

I followed Ms. Suwannapura for a round in 2016. She found about 15 bunkers for the day (fairway and greenside), and on a few holes employed the bunker-to-bunker strategy. But still, she came out of it with a +1 73.

So I've had an interest and affection for her ever since that scrambly old round. This year she has made a decent number of cuts, but usually fades badly to finish with around $250 prizemoney. So hoping she has a big tournament here. So far, so good.

Watching the coverage yesterday and thought I heard one of the girls had a stretch of holes where she scored 1, 2,3,4 ,5 in that order .

Did that really happen and has that ever been done in a tourney before ? ( odds seem unlikely )

Unlikely, but if the day’s event was “Best Poker Hand”, that would be a winner!

Jacqui has been playing some very good golf lately. Now, can she keep it up and grab a win?

A whole bunch of potentially winners at -8. I'm thinking a 66 is going to be needed to win this thing.

Odd day. Low scores were certainly out there for the getting, but way too many players were hovering near par.

I dunno. A hole in in one, a hole out eagle, a birdie, and par (4)/par (5) would do it.

a lot of good players with a shot. if Brooke or Brittney are putting well, could see them possibly pulling away a little, but should be tight.

In Gee flat today, but still within 3, need a quick start tomorrow.

Brooke hitting driver is fun to watch, just unleashes.

Kudos to Stacy Lewis for playing in this event and supporting her sponsor. While not a fan, you have to give her a ton of credit for playing in a blessed state. Even if her pregnancy has gone perfectly, if that's even possible, it's still a credit to her for having the moxie to play in this event.

And no I haven't gone soft, am not drinking excessive amounts of wine....yet.

You mean Nicole finishing, umm, zero shy of the bottom, didn't have you hitting the bottle early?

On the plus side, two amateurs made the cut. So we got that going for us. Which is nice.

Smokin' Jacqui talked a big game on the TV after the round. Says she has what it takes to hang with the best. I was kind of half paying attention but that caught my ear. Let's see if she steps up today.

Disappointed Brooke chocked down the stretch, but she hasn't improved her game from 100 yrds in since she got on tour and if she refuse to improve it or isn't doing the right things to improve it, things like this will continue to happen. Her real big problem yesterday coming home was not doing a good job reading the firmness of the greens. Yesterday Brittany was really getting in her head with info before the shots and I really wanna know if the numbers she was getting from Brit were correct or whether Brooke was over shooting them. Also Brooke's problem has more to do with reading putts and having Brit there just seems to be 2 people who are bad reading putts making the reads. Brooke's putting lines really seem to be off and I think she should tell Brit not to give her any input. If Brooke is gonna have bad lines regardless she might as well be the one reading it. But Brooke did sign every autograph and did talk to the press so I always like seeing that when you crash and burn, speaks to character. It will be interesting to see how this affects her going forward, cause after the press and the autograph's she did get a hug and had a little emotional release with Alena Sharp afterwards.

Well on the tee box before the playoff Brittany said she had a plane to catch and then went out and played like it.

If Brooke keeps knocking on the door, she'll get in again soon. It's tough to win out there, but being in contention is the first step.

Congrats to Thidapa. Always nice to see another first time winner. I watched her at the KPMG, and didn't think she quite had the game to win this quickly. Sometimes I don't mind being wrong.

Scrappiness FTW.

I was actually rooting for her until she said that. Anyone who says that absolutely deserves to lose IMO.
