I remember Titleist releasing real-deal shafts starting with 913d and it was a major hit. Rest of the market followed.

Let's up the ante again.

$499 with Handcrafted Evenflow or HZDUS. and Rogue 130msi. Come on T !!!

If they did that with the EF Black, oh my goodness...

913 didn't have real deal shafts, Mitsubishi just changed their OEM branding to look closer to their premium offerings. The premium options are a 220.00-300.00 upcharge depending on your retailer

I think people confuse real deal with tour issue. The 913 line definitely had real deal shafts. The ATX tour green and ATX Blue were definitely offered and I had them in a fairway and hybrid.

I just went back to my 917 D3. Still one of my favorites of all time. I don't get the Titleist driver hate. Get fit and it is as long as others. I think people just don't want to put in the time to get it dialed in.

I like the classic lines. Suits me. I don't care for the over the top gaudy stuff.

I'm sure the new ones will perform.

I am not sure for the Titleist dislike either. Great head shapes and solid performance. Distance is great, but so is finding the fairway. Can't wait to test one out. My 917 D2 works well.

Forgive me for not reading through everything, but any insight into the stock shaft offerings? Compatible with shafts from previous models?

I was told the Hzrdus Smoke will be a stock offering along with the Even Flow White. Admittedly, it sounds too good to be true.

The 818’s hybrids have the Atmos TS, so I’m hoping for the Atmos in the drivers. I heard they will have the most stock offerings that titleist has ever had.

910 did not, 913 and on did. Mitsubishi actually dulled the painting on Titleist stock shafts to differentiate it (in worse way) to $350 MSRP retail shafts.

Now, manufactures are coming up with "Handcrafted" or higher MSI shafts to justify high MSRP on retail shafts to differentiate it from mass stock shafts.

As usual, no composite crown. I have played every Titleist driver since the 905R with the exception of 917. I love the looks and will try these so the jury is out but sure wish they would break from the norm. I have heard of a C16 replacement. Maybe that's the composite.

They tried the composite crown before

Anyone know when the review release date is? Not sure the correct term but the date when Crossfield, Shiels etc. can all upload their demo video of the TS line?

You should try the 917 D3. Then you wouldn’t care about the composite crown.

Or go buy a used 909 Comp head....if that's a deciding factor of a good driver.

TS driver just got a tour win.....

...yeah, but it "doesn't have a composite crown", it's probably "too spinny", and "Titleist is just lacking in ball-speed, marketing, and overall distance, etc."....blah, blah, blah.

I’m guess these will be pretty low spin/launch compared to other Titleist drivers, seeing that everyone gaming these are lifting up

Yeah I can't remember where I read it, maybe TT forum that it was like September 6 or 7 (basically early Sept). But usually if you preorder early, around the initial preorder starting date things sometimes show up usually a week or so early.

Lightweight Kuro Kage with new Straight Flight Weight - Titleist innovation that Mitsubishi has now licensed from Titleist, Tensei Blue with Straight Flight Weight, HZRDUS Smoke, Even Flow White. Those are the stock offerings.

Actually hoping the TS2 retains some of the moderate spin Titliest drivers (and Ping) have been known for

Easier for me and many to dial the appropriate spin and launch with shaft from there

Fingers are crossed

My thought exactly!

I totally agree as well but I fear Titleist has joined the low spin race.

Irons: 19' Cobra CB's
Drivers: Titleist TS3 & Cobra F9
Fairway: Titleist 917F2

Balls: ProV1

Spin is down roughly 200-350 depending on player and release. Titleist did adjust their stock spec. For instance the previous 9.5 heads were closer to 10 degrees true spec, now it’s closer to 9 degrees true spec.

It’s all Titanium because Titleist doesn’t need to use carbon. Carbon fiber is still not quite as durable as titanium in their testing of other products. TS will have the thinnest titanium crown in the history of golf with a 20% thinner face from the 917 as well. The face is so thin, there are no score lines cut into it for fear of failure. More sloped profile from front to back adds aerodynamic improvement to help maximize ball speed.
