I just picked up two 15 packs for $25 from dsg. Plan is to use them in my shag bag for short game practice bc of the standout color (crowded practice greens).

How is the feel and spin compared to, say, a gamer tour?

It does have some feel, especially in warmer weather. But, there's no spin.

Accurate. Did a quick short game practice session today and got lots of roll out, but they really did feel good.

Follow up- played 9 w d2 feel today - best club is driver, irons won't stop even w a high launch and steep landing.

The amount of rollout after driver carry was the most I've ever played with. My avg carry is a bit over 200 up to 220, and was getting an easy 25 plus yards of roll on a crappy fairway, several in the 240-250 range.

Irons didn't stop when they landed, even on a good trajectory. My shafts are very high launch, and I willingly trade distance for descent angle, and even 9 irons were rolling out 10 yards.

Same w wedges. I play my 56 almost exclusively around the green, and got zero check-up. So had to play for rollout.

---

So to summarize, this is a solid distance ball w way better feel than the classic rock balls, but don't expect any spin whatsoever and you'll be ok.

Totally digging the GS. Was in league last night and it played really well. Only if I’d quitvleaving putts short...will be fixed lol

I hit my 2 longest drives which beat my normal by 40-50 yrds. To come up and use a 1/2 wedge in was purty cool.

Did did really well greenside. Very pleased.

Many higher cap golfers lose distance with their side spin, AKA slice / fade. If you can take that out of your drives you will get more distance, which I feel the top-flight balls help you with. Many of the premium balls are great around the green but give you more side spin on your drives. Most higher handicap golfers cannot benefit with greenside spin because they can't put enough spin on their ball to help them out. Straight down the Fairway is always better then the slight possibility of greenside spin.

+1 Today, I tested the D2 Feel against a Pro V and the D2 Feel went further. Perhaps, it also has something to do with my slower swing peed.

Thanks! Not something I'd normally buy, but looks like a great leaf/winter ball and it's beyond cheap so I got some.

cool, you won't regret it, especially if you got yellow. It's a little firmer than you'd expect it. Not Supersoft.

Yes, yellow. I'm probably not alone in experiencing a direct relationship between how much I mind losing a ball and how likely I am to lose it. I like Chrome Softs a lot, but I shot my best rounds recently with a yellow Pinnacle I found mostly because I wouldn't have minded losing it one bit, so consequently I didn't. The truth hurts, but if that's the difference in my game I've got a ways to go before lack of spin hurts me much.

Great points. I used to hate losing balls. Even just the Gamersofts. They have a nice performance. Plus, I like the blue number on it. But, now since joining the ball forum, I like try different ones. Now, when I lose a ball I say I am closer to trying another brand out, lol. It's a sickness.

The D2 Feels have a decent yellow color. I think you will like it.

I found a brand new yellow D2 feel hiding under a leaf last week. I had never heard of this ball and like most "playas" have an unwarranted disdain for anything Top Flight.

A few holes later, I put it in play.

In the next 4 holes, I shot 1 under and won a greenie and a skin.

I use a portion of my winnings and bought 3-15 packs for $30.

I'm teeing one up today at 2.

Just sayin...

You won't regret it. For the money, they can't beat. Most likely they will be half off during DSG's Black Friday sales next month.

The D2 Feel has been my go to cheap (non urethane) ball for several years. It has a great feel and seems to be a little longer with irons than most comparable balls.

I'm not a huge fan of the yellow color compared to Srixon or Bridgestone's yellow. No complaints with the standard white.

I think the D2 Feel yellow is decent. It's not Srixon yellow. But, it's fine.

I have been playing this ball during the fall/winter for around 8 years and love it. Played one for the first time in a while today as it was in the 50's and had rained most of yesterday. I was reminded why IMO this is the best inexpensive 2 piece ball out there. I am on my last 15 pack from 2 Black Fridays ago and will need to pick up 2-3 more next month. As always, my playing partners were using their high end urethane balls today so I made sure to point out when my 150 yd 9 iron managed to be 3' behind its pitch mark. I still get a "Top Flite?" from them every now and then.

Totally forgot about Dick's price matching. Made a quick run and picked up 3 boxes. This should hold me over for at least 3 years since I just started on my last box from a BOGO 2 years ago. At $7.98 a box, this is IMO the best fall/winter ball there is.

I find them to be a great summer ball, too. I prefer a softer ball. So, these feel very good in warmer weather.

I've played a couple of my best rounds with this ball and just bought my annual 45 balls for $25 (now in yellow!). It's good all year for sure, but I agree it really shines in cooler temperatures.
