Mizuno T7 Wedges - Reviews? Thoughts?

I'm sure this was covered somewhere so I may have missed it, when the blue finish wears off, do they rust?

Mine have not but a) I've only been using them six months or so and b) I don't put them away wet. So they may not be literally rust-proof but they certainly don't rust right away. The blue finish wears off pretty quickly on the sole and sweet spot if you both play and practice with them a lot.

I have satin finish. no rust, no wear. above all, never fail to impress me.

Frames the ball well. Color blue on both sid3s provides tranquility and joy joyness such that at launch there is this boywide sense of euphoria, like winning the Masters or curing cancer.

Satin blue and ordered a back-up set because I hit them that well and don’t want to have to try a replacement

Did they quit offering the 55 degree? They used to be on their website. Do you now have to order a 54 or 56 and bend them? I was looking at getting a new set but can't find the 55.

Maple Hill has every loft from 46-60 I believe, satin or blue, new, $99

I may grab a 3rd set before they get discontinued. I don't want to look down at another wedge.

They are custom order. The 55-13 is just the 56-14 head that they bend then install a badge with the matching numbers. You can have the same thing done and leave the stock badge on or just grovel with Mizuno for a replacement.

The JDM version has no Boron in the mix. Lovely feel.

Spectacular wedges. Can’t say enough good things. Mizzy does not have the massive menu of grinds that Vokey boasts of, but they seem to have hit that magic balance with these where the loft and grinds work perfectly.

The S18 seem a lot chunkier. Hope they continue to keep the T7 on offer like the MP and JPX lines co exist.

They are damn accurate. He has found them to be a very solid performing wedge. They look pretty kewl too.

He would say two negatives exists for the T7.

They are a tiny bit too big. There, he said it. It isn’t a deal killer.

The second thing - which he knew before he bought - is that they are just a tad firmer feeling than his previous mp wedges.

He is willing to accept that firmer fact for wedges that will last longer.

He gets tired of finding new wedges.

Mine have not shown any rust. I have about 60-70 rounds and quite a bit of short game practice on my 56, as you can see from the dings and general wear (we tend to have small stones in our bunkers). Blue is almost entirely gone from face and sole but no rust.

I also have a 60 degree with maybe 20 rounds and it looks much the same. The blue wears off very quickly.

I never put these away wet, BTW. Not sure if that would make them rust or noT.

For those of you interested they are on sale right now for $99 at golfusamanhattan. Just ordered a 2nd set as I've really enjoyed this offering from mizuno.

They are on sale pretty much everywhere, just like the JPX 900's - precursor to the new line coming out in the fall.

Awesome wedges, and a no-brainer to still pick up a spare set...or two.

Found these wedges on Maple Hill looking for a deal for a forged wedge with PX LZ shafts. What a price. $99. Then looked for reviews and brought me right back to home. Going to order a 56 and 60 to go with my i200s. The current wedges are going on two seasons, and would like to have the same shafts and specs as the new irons. Awesome deal!

Looking at the specs, these seem to sit fairly flat to standard. 63* across the board. With my I200 UW coming in at 65* have you all had any issues with the standard lie on these? I know I can easily bend them if needed. Just curious to what you all have played in these for wedges vs. what your set lie angles are.

I played them in the standard lie but I did notice the same observation. I'm currently using the MD4's which seem to be more upright.

Thanks. I’ve got a 56 MD Forged I’ve never put in play that I might have a go with first. UW is 50* and might see how I get along with just this 56* for a bit.

I'm at standard lie with them but I've also been playing Mizuno standard for 4ish years.

Only issue I had with how they sit was the 54.12 head. It looked like it had way more offset than the 50 and 58 for whatever reason. I switched to a 54.08 and it looks just like the others now.
