Polo shirts that are good untucked?

For golf polos, I opt to tuck. For Speedo’s, it’s a must.

lots o public/semi private courses....no private upper crust. Not even interested in them. It does seem as tho you are angling for an argument

rather than a discussion,so enjoy yourself...not interested in that childish stuff....block button is a good thing..

 

No argument on this end, but I see where you're coming from with your "no private upper crust" comment. Why the class warfare nonsense? When you automatically put all the members of a private club into a derogatory category like "upper crust," then I can see where you think an argument is coming. You're conflating private with snobby, and money with class. That's myopic, and one of the things that I think is bad for the game of golf.

 

Now, if all of the private clubs wherever you live are chock full of ignorant, condescending people, and that's all you know, then that adds some perspective. But it's not that way everywhere, and it's not useful to assume it is.

 

It's amazing to me the people who are willing to die on their swords to keep their shirts untucked. Like manku said, you don't have to like or prefer some of the dress code rules at some places, but tucking your shirt in is a really small price to pay for a great day of golf, isn't it? Why write off a potentially amazing golf experience at a great course over something like tucking in your shirt? More importantly, why paint an entire membership of people as snobby/crusty/holier-than-thou just because they can and choose to belong to a private club?

I received a Penguin polo from their newest golf line and it looks great untucked. Very nice polo.

I dont know the brand off the top of my head but I got a shirt at Kohls that wasnt super long and you can get away with not tucking it in.

 

When its hot out untucked is way better for keeping cool. If its 98 and humid, dress code be damned!

The real question is how to keep a polo tucked in? By the third hole mine is completely out in the back and by the time I get to ten, it's totally out.

its usually big gut guys (cant tuck in polo shirts)

 

I started buying "tall" shirts to keep them tucked in over my gut. They still wonder out, but not all the way.

If your club allows untucked then go untucked, I do.....that being said, I have a few Nike Tour Performance golf polos that are super short and look OK untucked. Prolly 5-7 yrs old so not much help, lol.
