Old Navy Slim Go-Dry Pants - how do they hold up?

I know they aren’t rain pants, but how do they hold up in rainy conditions? Thinking about using them tomorrow instead of my regular rain gear.

 

I’ve worn them on wet days and the water and mud just rolled off. Haven’t been out in a steady rain though.

I've worn them a couple of time on days with light rain and they were great. I don't play in heavy rain so no idea there.

They aren't rain gear. Got caught in a non-golf rain shower. They'll get wet.

I got the khaki version today, and they are a little different. A little slimmer in the legs and at the ankles, they seem thinner also. I am very much digging these, hope the new grey is the same.

There’s khaki?? Ohhhhhh.... no cargo khaki right??

I just grabbed another pair of khaki and the one color I did not have (crocodile tears), had both in my size, was $5 short of free shipping, added the soft white cotton tee (nice t-shirt for $6), got one last order.

The, what seems to be "new styling" of this pant in the khaki color, is absolutely about as perfect a pant as I could ask for, fit slightly slimmer, and fabric is slightly thinner, just perfect. I will buy 3-4 pair of the light grey when they come out.

 

Thanks to the OP, buying more pants but still saving money over the freakin outrageous Nike pants. Can get about 4-5 pair to 1 Nike.

I wear them very often to work. Mainly because it's so hot/humid, I prefer this material. I also wear it to golf then stride into work after my round. :) Love the pants. Wish it came in more colors.

I forgot to buy / had it in my cart but didnt pull the trigger. then wanted to buy yesterday and sold out in my size. :( Oh well. I don't wear khaki much either. If it was British tan / darker color, i'd get it in a heartbeat.

I tried these on finally. For those that like a tailored fit down to the ankle, these are not it. They fit kind of baggy past mid thigh with a large ankle opening, if tailored is what you are used to.

 

Price wise, can't beat them. Retail + tailoring fee is still way better than most higher end retail options.

I had no idea until they arrived last week. It's just seems a little updated on the style, they are definitely different, in a good way.

Seems like these are tailored in a nice way. Much tighter and I would almost be wearing leggings.

My new pair of ON go-dry khaki are about 1/2 size bigger in the waist and seat than my others. Quality control isn't the greatest on these...hopefully I have a rogue. Will order another in same size and report back

After wading through 35 pages of this thread I had to check out these pants. They looked pretty good and were a perfect fit. A little more slim fit than my normal golf pants, but that's okay. They were on 50% off sale which was $22 a pair. The clerk said if I spent $6 more I would get $10 off, so I got some socks, so for $40 I got 2 pairs of pants and 3 pairs of socks. How can you beat that? PS at age 65, I may be the oldest guy wearing these (cool)

There is a bit of that, but never seems too far off, at least so far. I have a mix of 28-29 waist size through my 7 pair, but all work, some just need the belt snugged a touch.

Ugh, now thinking about re-ordering all colors as they come back in stock. I will have 12-15 pair of these by the time I am done....lol.

I have always had trouble finding good shoes for my small-wide feet, and pants that fit right without tailoring.

 

When I find em these days, buy em up, next iteration is almost always worse.

Fwiw I saw some pants at Walmart yesterday that are very similar to the old navy pants. They seem a little less stretchy but not quite as slim and tapered. I think the brand was called Swiss Tech and they were available in 4-5 colors and cost $17.

Got my khakis today. Agree with the description of the new cut. Only other difference is the length. All my other pairs were 30"s that I could get away with not getting hemmed (eventually did). This new pair however is going straight to the tailors, a lot longer then the others.

 

Great fit otherwise, will eventually get the Navy and have the whole set

Just happened to browse around the forum more and stumbled upon this thread! Might have to give these pants a try, too bad I missed the sale! Anyone know how often they have that type of sale?
