Longest par 3 you’ve played?

My course is London has a 246 yard par 3 off the whites, 225 off yellows.

 

It also has a path running just in front of the green which is annoying when you hit a good shot and it bounces right over the green into the trees.

 

Nasty.

17th Par 3 at Oak Creek in Irvine, CA. 228 from the tips, but plays a few yards uphill. Anything missed left or right leaves pretty difficult chips/bunker shots depending on pin location.

Two of note:

#10 at Farmington Country Club Main Course - 249 from the tips with out of bounds immediately along the left side. The hole can also almost play 270 with the pin in the back. Ironically, #2 on the new FCC Coore and Crenshaw East Course is a 253 yard par 4 also with tons of trouble.

 

#4 Riviera - 236 from the tips into the prevailing ocean breeze. When I played, the pin was back and layered 246 from the whites and I hit driver.

Crooked Tree in Marana, AZ. 252 or so from the back tees.

 

When I used to play there I told folks that when I can no longer get there with a 3 wood I was moving up. No way I was going to hit driver on a par 3. :)

Inn of the Mountain Gods in Ruidoso. #18, 272 yards all over water. It is however a very elevated tee for what that's worth lol.

249 at Southwyck Golf Club (Texas). I usually go hybrid or long iron toward the front edge of the green, but I've seen drivers and 3w's used by others.

 

I just played here for the first time last week. It was definitely the longest par 3 I’ve encountered and it didn’t help that there was wind in my face. I hit my 2 iron and aimed right to avoid the water short and left. I over compensated and pushed way right but got it on the green with my second before two putting for boge. Killer hole.

245 yards #9 The Country Club in Morristown, TN. Tough hole with the green running a little bit away from you and the greens are always quick. Just slightly uphill to near flat.

My home course (Nashua CC) has one that’s 225 on the card. Plays over a bit of a valley, tee box is level with the green but it slopes up prettt steeply in from and you have to carry it to the front or it hits the hillside and stops. The green is narrow and fairly deep. Slopes down left side and up right side. Bunkers guard both sides of the green front to about middle. It’s not a terribly well designed hole IMO. The hole was originally about 170 yards uphill, the longer tee was added many years later. It works better as a mid iron tee shot.

 

It’s a hard green to hit and pretty well protected without any real bail out. Unless you are toward the rear of the green you have to pitch over a bunker if you miss left or right. Right is close to dead, pitching downhill over a bunker to a green running away and our greens are generally far. Most areas around the green are tough up and downs.

 

With the tee back and the pin back they can push it to ~250 but it plays about 225 most days.

 

Worcester CC and Charles River CC both have ones in the 230-240 range that I have played. Both very well designed as well.

250-260 depending on tee and pin placement, and the course is only 6300 from the blues.. it’s incredibly frustrating and out of place on the course

The Quarry at Giants Ridge Hole 4 is 269 yards. All 4 in my group hit driver and incredible all hit the green our 1st time playing it.

I would have to bail left on this one. I max out at 235 carry with the driver, which would then not stop anyway. We were actually playing two tees up from here.

The Quarry at Giants Ridge Hole 4 is 269 yards. All 4 in my group hit driver and incredible all hit the green our 1st time playing it.

We got to play it at 230ish in high school. I mean goodness that makes it about the same length as hole 13 then.

Lol, I resemble this remark. The course I just played has a temporary tee box at 120yds (normally 180). I hit my tee shot super fat and it landed in a creek 30 yards in front of the tee box. I had my only double bogey of the day on a 120 yard hole.

Longest that I can remember was 230 over water to a dime size green. This hole and the previous hole on this course are the toughest 2 holes back to back I can remember playing.
