I remember reading that Nike has a third party take care of their returns. My theory is that the few pairs of shoes that we have seen are being sold from the third party, not Nike. When we see large batches of items like apparel that's more likely a liquidation from Nike.

Having never seen any golf shoes in any Burlington, I came across these.. Nike Akamai spikeless in Paramount Blue/Volt/Metallic Silver. They are woman's size 10 but mis-marked as man's 7. 10 should be 8 actually... I really like the color so I scooped them up. Oh any 8 is actually my size.

All Nike returns go to Blue Ribbon Direct who then sells them in lots to Burlington/Ross/Etc, Blue Ribbon basically sells large lots of shoes or clothing to these retail companies. I would assume Nike also has them unload their excess inventory too.

Spotted 3 pairs of TW17s at the Elk Grove, CA Ross last night, each for $39.99. Cool Gray/Solar Red/Black in a12 and the Black/Silver/University Red in a 9.5 and a 10.5. Picked up the 9.5 for my brother-in-law and left the 10.5 and 12 there.

Women’s shoes are fine but if you any hint of a fat foot don’t do it! They are more narrow than the men’s version. So even tho I’m an 11 most of the women’s nikes are just way too tight

Although a quick warning, that sole for some reason is like ice stakes on tiled surfaces.

Yeah, the sole looked exactly like my other adidas spikeless shoes. Colors were a little odd. Didn’t end up getting them but there were about 10 pairs.

Pretty funny. I saw a pair of QS lacrosse shoes at my BCF that looked like they would be fine for golf. I almost pulled the trigger. When I went back, they were gone.

BRD is the name of Nike’s ecommerce distribution center in Memphis (really, it’s inside of the main DC, but it’s systematically separated). However, you are correct in that returns do end up there.

Got these same turf lacrosse shoes from an outlet around here for $15.

 

Didn't have a problem with grip; granted, I am not the most picky guy, but I had no issues with them.

Man, BCF is completely dried up for me. There are a few odd sized pants, and a couple XXL polos. But, not once this year did I see any shoes. I ended up passing on a few polos that I now regret. But, I did make out pretty good with pants and shirts this year. Hoping for better luck next year.

I have to wear polos at work, and justifying the purchase because I can wear them for golf and work is paramount. I only bought 1 pair of shoes last year. Yeah there really is a lot of emptiness in there compared to last year. Luckily I'm kind of between sizes with Nike so the blades had a more athletic fit so they work for me better than the standard ones. I ended up selling all of my shoes from last year other than my zoom 90s since I bought them just cause they were cheap instead of actually liking how the shoe fit.
