Purple Golf Pants

As recently as TODAY in the John Deere I saw a pro (wasn't able to see who) wearing royal purple pants. Despite this, I can't find any reputable company that has them available online anywhere. Anyone know of any companies that have purple athletic fit golf pants for sale? Not interested in wearing chinos on the golf course.

Google returned some sketchy European stuff but that is it. G/Fore has some snazzy bright pink ones.

Under Armour. I have a pair, so I know this for sure. I can't find them on their website but I've had them a couple of years. They're called Match Play pants.

I have a pair of Nike Modern Tech pants that are purple, but maybe not the same shade that you're looking for. I found an eBay link to them, but if you want to save yourself a click, the item number is 509737 and the color code is 500.

They're pretty tough to find now, but Lululemon made the ABC pant in purple. I have two pair that I got from eBay, and I love them. The color is the perfect shade of purple, and I wear them with a lime green belt. I've gotten more compliments on those pants than almost anything else I wear.

I was at my local Nordstrom rack over the weekend and they had some super purple Nike golf pants. I mean, really purple. It made me think of this thread.

If you ever find yourself back there I'll buy them and get them hemmed if you felt like shipping! I got a pair of nikes that are "deep purple" and I'm a little disappointed at how they're mostly royal blue with a very slight purple tinge. My hunt is still on!!

 

Edit to add: Lululemon ABC pants in their PLUM color is my white whale now. 32 or 33 waist and 30 or 32 inseam is ideal, but willing to hem them if anyone should find a longer inseam. Never thought I'd let something like this consume me, but here we are!

This type of Nike Pants? I am definitely much closer to 32 waist than 34, but I'm wondering if these can be brought in by my tailor? Under Armor pants because of the stretch band inside cannot really be brought in easily.

A couple things, just in case you don't already know.

 

I don't think they called the color "Plum". I'm fairly sure it was called "Deep Zinfandel", but might have also been called "Black Cherry". This could help a bit in the search.

 

Second...The way that Lululemon sized their pants at the time was silly. If you wear a size 32 in your jeans... you will probably just squeeze into a 34 in the purple ABCs. I LOVE the ABC pant in the old sizing, and I've accumulated a few of them. I have nine pairs, including two in the purple you're after (plus 4 black and 3 grey). I wear a size 33 in most of my jeans (Lucky Brand), and every single pair of Lulus I own is a size 36. If I put on a couple of pounds, even the 36 can get snug. I couldn't fit in an "old size" 34 to save my life. So keep that in mind if you find some on eBay.

 

Lastly... DON'T hesitate when they eventually pop up somewhere. I had the chance to buy more than two, and I really wish I had cause they're impossible to find now. As a guy who pretty much only wears black and grey, I thought the purple would just be a funny occasional thing. I was so wrong. I would happily buy another 2-3 pair tomorrow if I could.

I've owned a purplish heather v-neck sweater for ages. mixes great with black and greys.

 

lilacs and lavenders are great for spring and summer. the deeper dark purples - winners for fall.
