I like how they have mastered the putter face and now they agre looking at other things. Not sure if I like all the “distractions” on top but I like the cencept.

Rolled this today and really liked it. For me the scope on this is much more natural that the scope on a SeeMor.

 

Versa scheme had the putter lined up square before I ever had to check the scope. Feels like an old school Odyssey which a lot of people will like.

 

Curious that they don't seem to have a oversize grip as a stock option.

Just bought one. It's great. Pretty standard looking mallet compared to what else is out there. Surprised this isn't getting more love.

Played 18 with one today. I have to say it is easy to set up and I had a very good day on the greens with it. Shot 79 so my guess is it save me 3 - 5 strokes of my usual score. We shall see how it goes on Thursday. Could have just been a good day for me.

Qualify this for me. How statistically did it save 3-5 strokes? Not doubting, just clarification.

I messed with one for a minute at GG the other day. I literally didn't know what to look at.. the ball, the line, the face, or the red dot... I had not been so confused standing over a putt in some time....

I agree. Rolled one at PGA Superstore in Roswell yesterday and there is a lot going on looking from above. Nice feel though.

I have played two 18nhole rounds with the Red Ball. I have to tell you the set up just works. I have dropped 3-4bstrokes a round so far. First round 79 second round on a longer course 83. The putter played a huge role in those scores.

Are users left eye or right eye dominant?

For me to get the red ball in the center I need to lower my hands about 2* and tilt the putter head back, adding about 1* of loft. I’m right eye dominant.

I have rolled it a few times in my club shop and like the feel but totally agree that there is to much going on.

Alignment was easy. Putts were on line as I was in a better set up position. Made a couple putts I did not expect. Just has a nice feel and balance to it. Two rounds in now and I guess we will have to see how the long haul goes. I have to say I like the way the Red Ball sits in my hands.

I bought one a week ago. I have been off work this week and played more golf in 7 days than I ever have before. Five 18 hole rounds and one 9 hole round. For me, the putter works well for helping me get set up the same way every time. It allows me to think about only line and speed.

 

I surely can see how it is one of those putters where people will either love it or hate it, but it is going to be in my bag for sure. The only thing I wish it had was the Exo-type hinge insert.

I guess I don't get what the red ball is for. I tried to manipulate the face every which way and it didn't seem to make a difference in lining up the little red ball. Isn't it supposed to disappear or be obscured if the putter isn't lined up square?

Just got one of these. Have been studying up recently on eye dominance and stroke type and everything.

 

First off eye dominance shouldn’t matter with this putter unless you putt with one eye open the other closed. If you have both eyes open the thing will work just fine.

 

What I found is this: the putter helps further minimize some of the things that can go wrong during the stroke. If you align the thing correctly and make a good stroke the ball will role in the right direction. If you get the red ball aligned properly each time you’ll be more consistent. That’s what it is. It’s just one less thing you have to think about. I give this an A plus. Also... if stuff like this didn’t work it wouldn’t be crucial to shooting rifles or firing missiles from airplanes. If used properly definitely helps.

No because a round alignment aid compared to right angles in alignment to target different. This red ball makes the player orientate the face better as far as lie angle and shaft lean. Kind of like a bloodline.

so it only helps with toe up/down or press v. no press?

Eh... not really unless your angles are extreme it helps you sole the putter correctly on the line that you’ve chosen. It’s especially helpful on 0-5 footers. Just to get that thing dialed in on a track. Also seemed to smooth out my stroke because I wasn’t adding in or worried about other manipulation. It seemingly takes one of the variables out of play which I think is it’s biggest strong suit. Instead of thinking about 3 or 4 things you aren’t thinking about 2-3. Makes it easier. Allows you to focus on making the putt. Definitely simplified it. I was no longer over putts the. Thinking at the last second... ‘man this looks like it’s at a slightly different angle than usual.. do I need to pull this a little to counter act that?”
