Love how it looks. I hope they resolve some of the issues we've been seeing with broken evenflow shafts.

OEM's don't typically upgrade shaft options this time of year. You won't likely see these change until early 19' when they launch their new flagship drivers/fairways.

Thanks! TM just added some new Fall Shaft options but not the Smoke, they did add the Evenflow White T1100 65 though

Love the HRZDUS Yellow. Would love to see how these compare to the yellow/black profile

smoke will feel different since the yellow is counter balanced while the smoke is more neutral. While this is the new step in the hzrdus black line, the black will be lower launching and spin IMO compared to smoke.

I just hit the smoke today with the TS2 head and man it’s one smooth shaft. I hit the 60S and 60X. I wish they would have had 70 to try as well. I have always played 70g shafts in my driver. I know Titleist will allow you to special order the 7 for free. Which I might have to do

I hope this becomes standard with all manufacturers that they include real deal shafts. I’m tired of these junkers with a paint job.

I couldn’t agree more. It seems like everyone is starting to go that way. This is one great shaft though for sure!

105-108. Even though I was fit into the smoke 60X, I think I’m gonna try and hit the EF white T1100 65X cause we didn’t try it out in my fitting I only hit the 65S.

I hit the TS 2 and TS 3 tonight with the EF White and Smoke 6.0. I got good numbers with both, but I liked the feel of the Smoke much better.

I swing around 105-108mph with the driver.

was there a dramatic difference in launch angle in favour of the smoke?

thx

I would say maybe a degree or two. I started with the TS EF 9.5 and TS EF 9.5 then went to the TS2/3 Smoked 9.5. It just felt a little more stout and had a little less spin. I had a tendency to block the EF and had a little more trouble trying to turn it over.

I currently plat the 917 D3 Motore TS 7.2 S tipped a 1/2 inch and I think the EF played similar.

From what I can remember the final numbers with the TS 2 9.5 Smoked 6.0 45”. Average of 5 shots, dispersion of 12 yds (Great for Me).

Ball speed- 153 mph

Launch- 12.5

Spin- 2,450 rpms

Carry- 257 yds

Total- 277 yds

This was at PGA Superstore, so that that for what it’s worth.

My swing speed is right there with yours. 107 was my average. Hit 111 once and 110 a couple times. I was fit into the 60 6.5 smoke as well at 45 inches.

The EFW T1100 xflex was a very smooth shaft. I could feel it load. Just not as much as the Smoke. I went with the smoke over the EFW because the smoke gave me the fade I want to play. The EFW still gave me a fade but a little more than I want.

If you work the ball left and want to straighten it out a little the EFW Xflex could work great for you at that SS.

My natural ball flight is a fade, so I’ll have to see what the numbers and flight look like with the EFW, might be sticking with the smoke

i hit the smoke and the EF white. i got better dispersion with the white. It may be the most stable and accurate shaft i have ever tried. I got higher ball speeds with the smoke. It was 3-5 feet per second higher the the white. But for me the dispersion was not as good. So you have to decide if you want accuracy or distance. hard to decide.

i'm going to be looking hard to find a 75g 6.5 hand crafted smoke and tip it properly for a run down with the hzrdus t1100 and hand crafted black. the sampling of testing reported has been more against a shaft designed to load different in the ef t1100.

I kind of assume this was implied in your post, but the tour photos of the Smoke show a 6.5 TX flex. I would love to get a hold of a 75 and 85 of that.

Any tour players playing this?

I know a handful of guys are playing it in their fairway woods. Keegan and Bryson come to mind. I'm sure there are others.
