Added a g400 stretch 3 wood 13 degree set at 12.Really love my g25 3 wood but needed a 3 wood for more distance off the t.Really struggling with my driver theses days with consistency.

Keeping the ball in ball in play with little distance loss has help my game.

M3 Driver with Tour AD DI 7X. I am already down 3.1 shots in my handicap and should be able to push down to mid single digits if I actually warmed up before my rounds and did not start bogey/double/bogey to start my rounds like i have on my last 5 rounds.

 

but hey... i do get an extra 30 minutes of sleep thanks to skipping the range...

After extensive testing this year nothing has wowed me enough to replace any of my existing equipment, only change for me has been the AVX ball, early days with this but so far so good.

Two changes that have really made a difference for me are:

 

1) M2 (2016) to a Ping G400 LST.. (cracked head)

 

2) Mac Daddy PM 58 to Vokey SM7 58*(routine change from use)

Going to a 2x undersized grip and cutting the shafts on my clubs ... like buying a new game. I have quite longer arms for my height (dad and brother the same) and I'm trying a 43.5 driver and my irons all 1/2 shorter than the standard from the 70's. Even my putter plays better shortened. This weekend I'm trying a 44" driver to see if 43.5 is my max. Going from a 44.5" driver to 43.5" moved my carry from 240s to 260+ ... and a lot more control.

 

The funny this is that I was always worried about swing weight but in the end the length seems to trump swing weight in importance for me.

Mack Daddy PM grind 60. Bought the 56° first and loved it, but with tight lies around the greens here in the summer, the 60° has given me so much confidence that my up and down % has improved quite a bit

Tough to say since I've done a full bag overhaul, but probably finding my 3w and a driver that works for my swing (well, until heat and distractions creep in).

 

With that said, I'd give the nod to the 3w since it acts like a safety valve for when the heat and distractions DO creep in.

 

Moved from an old reg flex to a better, newer stiff flex option specifically.

This year (2018), me too. A bit early as I've only been using it for 6 or 7 rounds now but early returns are very encouraging (as yours are)

Played iron roulette for the last year and finally settled on the CGB’s. GIR’s way up, fun way up, scores dropping.

 

More slower swingers who need some extra distance and height ought to give them a shot. They feel a lot better than you’d think.

I picked up a G25 16.5* 4 wood after reading some stellar reviews. I went from a 14 to a 10 handicap and it's still dropping. I use it on every tee unless it's a really long par 4 or 5. Sometimes if the fairway is wide open, I'll take out the driver.

 

Most of the time, I can count on the 4 wood to be 240-250 and in the fairway. I can carry my driver 250-260, but I don't have the same control. The 4 wood is incredibly easy to hit off the deck and I've never had so much confidence in a club when going for a par 5 in two.
