Mirua or Onoff

Hi I’m looking for a set of irons between those two brand for 20handicap. I know Mirua irons ( even PP9003 SN) are not the most forgiving irons but I just can’t resist the look. Others suggest onoff but it seems not easy to get a decent set, from ebay? What mirua irons you guys susgest?

Pp9003 are plenty forgiving. If you like them, go for it.

Check out rakuten global, they have some nice onoff’s. If you are going used then be aware that the search engine is crap at rakuten. Click your way to irons and the enter easy search terms such as onoff 2014 or onoff 2015 if you are looking for the kuro’s. Do not use the term kuro for the irons.

If you go back a few years Miura made some great game improvement irons. Bigger heads with offset etc.

If you can find them on ebay etc. they are the mc101 and mc102. One piece forging so you can have forgiveness and that great Miura feel.

I had Miura Giken CB 2007 's for exactly 6 rounds of golf and they were not very forgiving at all. I sold them to a buddy and he absolutely loves them and I will say they are wearing

beautifully. I replaced them with 2015 OnOff Kuro Irons and they are so much better it's crazy. They are miles softer and way more forgiving.

 

If you are set on Miura go to 2nd swing and see what they have left from the Miura Canadian warehouse buy out. I almost grabbed a set of PP9903

Onoffs are super soft feeling and are very very forgiving. You can go back as far as 2011 with the Onoff Forged. They are very good.

I have a set of PP9003SNs (although not currently playing them, won't ever part with them) and briefly owned/bagged the Onoff 2015 Kuros. Both are great feeling, although different. I found both sets to be similar re forgiveness. As someone with a typical miss of left going left (RH player), the increased offset and thicker top line of the Kuros didn't appeal to me compared to the PP9003SNs. Both sets are superb with respect to feel.

I played both of these brands. For HDC 20, OnOff is more suitable as it delivers long distance, soft feeling and more forgiving. Miura is much harder to hit, even with models considered as forgiving.

I know! I met my coach the other day and he let me tried his Mizuno mp-5, maybe, one of the blades, with stiff shaft. It feels surprisingly good, just so much more control. He told me to buy whatever looks good, even the blade as long as it’s with the stiff shaft. And I starts to looking for forteen fh1000, mizuno mp-18 those kind of stuff and then ended up with fh900. Not sure if it works for me till I try it this weekend. Might go back to pp9003 and etc.. Actually, I tryed a set of Miura CB-501, it feels pretty nice also...

I'm really liking the 1008's. Feel great, look perfect to my eye and are forgiving. I even had Miura make me a gap wedge with the set. Before these I used i20's and these are just as forgiving and look so much better.
