Free Lamkin Grip

Received the TS1 and put on my driver. Lamkin is continuing to up their game. Really nice grip that to me mixes some of the positives of the Z5 with a firmer feel. Looks like I may be putting them on all of my clubs. Love the Maroon-Gig Em!

Got a midsize sonar and put it on my driver tontry. It’s sticky but it’s too squishy and soft. I’ll be buying some gray utx grips to replace it

My grip of choice has been the Z5 Tour Taper since last year but I just received the TS1 and put it on the KE4 Tour Hybrid I just built. Haven't used it yet, but I love the feel of it on the club. Really "grippy" with a lot of texture but doesn't seem to feel harsh. The only negative is that it seems to be slightly smaller overall than the Z5 Tour Taper.

 

I'll know how it compares in the heat and humidity Sunday. That will be the real test.

Surprised that neither grip is available in .580. At .600, I have to add more wraps with a regular size grip. The Lamkin midsize is usually too big for me, but with the .600, it might fit.

I also received a notice that mine was $2.08 short on postage. I would have to drive to the post office to pay the postage, it's not worth the effort, money, and gas. What is really unfortunate is that my local Golf Galaxy carries only a few variations of Lamkin grips and this was a good chance to get my hands on one of their new product lines. Oh well, maybe next time. In my opinion, Lamkin still makes the best reasonably priced grips on the market.

I received mine. I got the sonar midsize. I usually play tv cords with a bunch of wraps to reduce taper, but put this on my 3 wood and loved it. I handed it to my dad he didn’t even take a swing and said you will be installing these this winter.

I’ve had the Z5’s on my irons since April, and have really liked them. Until last week when it was in the 90’s with theatre index over 100. I couldn’t grip the clubs. My wedges and woods all have ioMic 2.3’s and I have no problems. Put the free sonar grip on my 8 iron and played again. MUCH better than the Z5’s.

 

Anyone else have the same issue with the Z5’s?

Got mine today, actually had forgotten I sent in info on this. Sonar midsize for me as well. Really liking it. Love how the base graphics are the same whether logo up or logo down.

Placed the TS1 on a new driver shaft. Before installing it, I was afraid of the places where there is not the texture. Would it slip in my hands? It feels a lot better installed, and I look forward to extended testing.

Well my TS1 didn't last long. It's a really tacky grip but too soft for my liking. I prefer a firmer grip and I was hoping this would be one but without any cord, sort of like an updated Crossline or X10.

 

So back to my Z5 Tour Tapers.

Two rounds in now. The sonar feels really good when it's dry but I found it to be pretty slick when it gets wet. My buddy got the TS1 and hated it so I through that on my PW and I have to agree. It's a brand new grip (he used it one round) but it feels worn out.

The sonar is very comfortable but lacks grip when wet.

The TS1 just didn't feel good.

i thought the same thing but i think the grips new have a film on them or some residue that u cant see like maybe from the mold they were made , so i cleaned all my sonar and ts1 grips, i did my whole set in these and washed them with dawn dish soap and a toothbrush and dried with a towel and now even wet they are very tacky and slipping is gone when sweaty hands , i love them now

Eh been using it now on my wedges, its tacky and fine but just not that enamored with it. Ill probably switch it out here shortly.
