I tried one in an R11 for a short time. Bombed it with it in there. Great shaft. It seemed to be a little to high launch/spinny for my taste though. Give it a try.

I have hit every flex in this line (from the MX48/60 F1 up to the F5 and currently play the LD200) and all I can say is that these things are absolutely AMAZING! Due to the winding structure as opposed to the typical sheet wrapping, you end up with a tighter wind leading to more stability and tighter dispersion. I have had hit drives on holes where I know I've hit it off the toe and it draws and off the heel and it fades back into the fairway. A rare shaft that you can really feel 'load' and 'unload' which a lot of people have not experienced; at Ieast in my opinion.

I have fit a number of my customers and friends into these and have seen people find more fairways and gain10-25 yards instantly. They respond with being able to really feel the shaft load and unload for them where they feel the shaft 'pop' into the golf ball.

If you are looking for any of the following:

Tighter Dispersion
More (Effortless) Distance
More control and Stability


You need to try these shafts....Not to mention they are very affordable!! I highly recommend that you try these out!

Got the LD400 shaft late last summer from a long driver. An R11 tour issue tip was already installed on it. It plays right at 47 7/8 inches inserted into my R11. Just below the USGA limit of 48" for regular tournaments and competitions. Didn't know what the cpm's were, just took a chance on it. Well, to my suprise, I didn't think this shaft would not only add 30 plus to my drives, but the dispersion pattern was significationly tighter also. By far, the best shaft I've tried dollar for dollar in my 20 years of playing golf. Now my ss is only around 105 to 110, but it works, and that's all I care about. The CPM's on this shaft is right at 273 to 274, which play close to xxx stiff, but the snap and feel of this beast is incredible. By brother just bought one for his R9, set up exactly the same way, and he is now clearing the 250 yard fence at his driving range back in New Jersey. He told me it's been over ten year since he has cleared that fence. He is 57, and I'm 58 years old. We both have decent golf swings, and we both have single digit handicaps. . Best shaft for $100 to $150 you can buy brand new and uncut @ 50 inches. Don't let the 4xxxx on the ld400, or 3xxx on the ld300 fool you.

Put a Claymore 48 F4 in my Wilson FG F5 driver and immediately got more distance and straighter ball flight. I find it tends to come out lower but hotter. Lot less off-centre strikes as well. At 56 I am hitting it as long now with this combo as I did 15 years ago.
