Different weighting on Tour Model?

Finally got out to demo one of these and it does, indeed, seem to impart a lot of spin with the stock shafts in stiff.

However, it seems like a number of PGA professional are or have played this driver. Just wondering how they are managing the higher launch/spin with their swing speeds?

Anyone know if the tour models are weighted differently (e.g., COG higher/closer to face) than the retail models? Or are they just using heavier, stiffer shafts to reduce spin?

i demoed three 905r's today

:9.5 diamana 73 stiff

9.5 V2 75 stiff

8.5 diamana 83 stiff

i compared them side by side with my 905s 8.5 blue stiff, and found that the R's, all of them were probably 5 yards longer. i also could tell that the spin was higher along with the launch compared to my 905s. what i feel is that when launch is increased spin must also increase to keep the ball in the air. i have always been a high spin,high launch player with rpm's in the low 3000 range at a 108 swing speed with over 13* launch. i found the 8.5 diamana to be the best with range balls while the diamana 73 9.5 to be the worst. i wasn't in love with the V2 until i hit a couple nike blacks with it. what a difference! it was just as good as the diamana but the flight was too high. so that being said, i feel that demoeing drivers is great, but hitting balls that you play on the course is better. also in the day of low spin balls and shafts it is meaningless that a driver head may have 2-400 rpms more spin. it is so important that you match your ball and shafts to your equipment just like the pros. for example look at davis love and ernie els, bothe have had shafts in and out of their 905r's.
