My buddy still rocks a TaylorMade Rocketball driver and 3W with a Kiyoshi Purple shaft. Bombs it still!

Not quite as old and I bought it new a couple weeks ago but I just switched from rogue to 915d2. Not only keeping the ball in play but hit 3 or 4 of my longest drives ever.

Just went thru a new driver fitting only to find out my old Titleist 983e still works just fine. 106mph/2552 = 267 carry, and that’s with a 43” shaft. Don’t believe in the fake News. The old stuff works fine.

TaylorMade R9 Supertri with the TP Fubuki shaft. Played it 2010-2014. Did some tinkering, switched the shaft, sidelined it. Also stepped back from playing for a few years.

 

Got the desire to grind again this summer. Did some more tinkering with the weights and got the balloon ball to go away but I had to choke down and make sure my transition was smooth.

 

Found an R9 460 on the Bay with a TP Fubuki shaft for a great deal. Instantly back to High, Low spin bombs that can handle a stronger transition if I want to jump on it.

I just rebuilt my old TM Superfast "1.0" TP 9.5* driver w/ a PX HZRDUS Black shaft. That's the only driver I've ever felt comfortable at setup with. I haven't used a regular driver in years and have just been using a 3-wood or my G Stretch off the tee. Don't get me wrong, I have been keeping up or out-driving my playing partners with either club and I know I shouldn't try to fix what's not broken but I need to get over my 'Driver-phobia'. I've messed around and just used a buddy's driver to try for fun and I'd hit it well and they constantly question me why I'm still not using a driver.

I put my 910 D2 back in the bag this year, I tried a lot of newer stuff the past couple years but the 910 just seems to work best for me.

just bought a diamana d+ limited for my 910d2. Cant wait to hit it. The made for kai'li that's in it isn't super terrible. But if I can knock down the launch and some spin I'll be happy..
