Tour 360 boost 2.0 or Lunar Control Vapor 2's?

Recommended Posts

Debating in between these two shoes for my next pickup... anybody have both and can speak to which is a better all around shoe? i've got a pretty aggresive swing, so superior traction is a HUGE factor...

currently wearing Lunar Command 2's..

I have both. Adidas have far superior traction. Nike are lighter and slightly more comfortable, but offer much less support. Adidas inner heel is leather, as opposed to man made, so will last longer.

Thought I'd jump on this thread with a couple questions as I'm currently deciding between these two models as well - currently wearing some older Lunar Control 3's the past few seasons.

- Is there a significant difference "height" of these shoes? I prefer shoes that are a little lower to the ground.

- I've never owned "Spikeless" shoes and I'm at the range a lot more than I'm currently playing right now. How is the Lunar Control Vapor's traction on the mat as opposed to actual grass/turf?

- Which are more stable? I have a pretty aggressive swing and am looking for something a little more stable - I've hit balls in ultraboosts and found that the "softness" of the boost made me feel pretty unstable - I understand these are running shoes vs the tour 360's but wanted to confirm with those who own or have tried these out.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I can respond to the stability factor... The Tour 360 Boost is very stable... ultraboosts are pretty unstable in general... being a knit upper and the sole is pretty flexible

I own both and I would say that the Tour 360 2.0's are my preferred shoe. It feels like I am taller in them vs the Nikes- I almost seem to sink into the Nike's. The nike's feel like they have a mushier sole- if that makes sense. The adidas feel more structured.

Traction wise it is not close, I can tell the Tour 360's have better grip- though the nikes aren't terrible, they just don't feel like they have aggressive tread. The fins in the nike's are taking a beating from the cart paths around my club- which I don't use often. You should also check with the course you play if the Nikes are allowed, I went to one here outside of Bend Oregon that did not allow me to use them (I have 4 pairs of shoes in my trunk so not a problem). Couldn't tell you about mats vs turf as only our grass tees are open right now.

The Tour 360s are a heavier shoe vs the Nike's but I don't mind walking in either and swap between the two of them, though for club events i use the tour 360s.

Just for reference I am 5' 11" weigh 208lbs w/ a avg ss of 118, and wear a size 11 in the Tour 360s and 11.5 in the Nike's.
