Is this ball available in North America?

Yes. Q-Star Tour

Thanks. So the ball is branded differently here in N.A.? I ran into this ball by accident (found while looking for my ball), had it sitting in my shag bag with the other practice balls. so i reached in the bag and pulled this ball out, AD333, and teed it up. I was impressed with the first tee shot with a 15degree 3wood. went to the next teebox with an M3 driver and to my surprise, it went further than other balls that i normally use. And yes, I do have a moderate swing speed. I'll have to order some.

Correct. It's branded differently in N.A. - Also please note that the current version of the AD333 Tour available in the UK is one generation ahead of the similar Q-Star Tour in N.A. The current AD333 Tour has a different number of dimples and slight difference in compression. QST is an excellent ball especially for its price point.

So with less compression & more dimples, the AD333 should perform better? when I was using the AD333 today, it was really windy. the ball just went through the wind with ease and stayed on it's trajectory with the driver.

It's hard to say if the AD333 Tour will perform better. There are currently 6 different versions of the AD333 Tour listed on the USGA conforming ball list. What is the side stamp of the AD333 Tour that you have?

the only side stamp is this, <--AD333---> I'm assuming its the 2 piece version but certainly performed well..

That's the 2 piece ball. It's one of the better 2 piece surlyn covered balls for some time. In NA you might be able to find the AD333 in Wal-Mart. Otherwise the two piece Q-Star is the AD333 replacement.

I found the 2 piece AD333 at a SportCheck here in the great white north for $32.99 canadian funds.

  • 1 month later...

I play this ball. I never realised the compression was so low at 72-75 (depending on what year). Makes me think I might need to reconsider my choice given driver ss of 110mph+.

My thoughts exactly. 1st time hitting it was on a windy day and I was surprised it maintained its trajectory and the length was really good.
