718 AP2 vs Adams CMB

I'm looking for some iron heads to build up a back up set of C Tapers I have lying around. Two pretty solid offers for the irons listed above. Has anyone had both irons and can give me thoughts?

 

CMBs are pretty famous on these forums for being great irons but I have only hit them one or two times. I've never hit the 718 AP2.

 

Can people comment on the looks of the short irons on both sets? I really hate the rounded look in the 9 and PW. Straight top line, more defined toe, is more my style

 

Would love to hear performance differences as well obviously!

I have 712 AP2's and CMB's. I'll post a pic of the 8 and PW at address when I get home in a couple of hours.

The CMB's are a hair less forgiving than the AP2's, but look a lot better.

I’ve hit both and the new AP2 is REALLY REALLY good but CMB still beats it on looks, feel

 

AP2 have slightly more offset and I find even with the 718 sole improvements CMB sole grind is better especially if you’re steep.

 

And when I say looks I mean at address b/c the back of the 718s are beautiful to my eye
