My clubs are...and my car is a...

When I got a new Corvette Z06 last year I was supposed to keep it under 4k RPM and drive like a wuss for 500 miles. I RIPPEEEEED it out of the dealership and beat on it daily from day one. The car didn't blow up. The break in period is a scam IMO!

Let er rip brother!

Back in the day MB used chicken grease to break in their motors and you had to go in at 500 mi, then 1000 mi and I think also at 1500 mi for your first oil changes. Thankfully they stopped that PITA break in late 90s IIRC.

But I'm with you, performance cars need to be driven hard. Did over 150 when I took my Panamera Turbo home and over 160 with my F12.

Funny story, the very first day I had my 360 Spider I took off the traction control.......it was my first mid engine car......took a corner at speed and jumped on it.....nose pointed at both ditches before I recovered. Needless to say I have never taken traction control off since!!!

HAHA. And the 360 is tame compared to what you have now. Imagine totally shutting off traction control on the F12??? You may or may not die within 20 min.

I shut mine off in the turbo but the car is so perfectly balanced it doesn't matter... May be one of the reasons why I'm not crazy about it.

2024 Bag TBD

Clubs are a mixed bag of Titleist/Callaway/Miura

Car is a 2018 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road

How do you like it, I am 99% sure I'll be picking one up in a month or so

I love it. It’s comfortable, well equipped and very capable. Great for some light towing if you need it (I tow a small enclosed landscape trailer twice a week). My only complaints are that it doesn’t have CarPlay and it can be a hog on gas.

Good to know, I drive 3000 miles a year so gas not a huge deal deal breaker

Nice! What are your thoughts on going from a sports car to an SUV with decent power? I'm torn for my next vehicle on getting another german sports sedan, or going with a more powerful SUV like a GC SRT.

I'm pretty happy with the switch, the STI was my Primary vehicle and driving it around commuting in the city and in traffic (which is what I'm doing 90%) of the time got a little old with it being a manual transmission, and the X3 is definitely a more comfortable ride but still has some decent pick up when needed. But when I come across some pretty deserted windy roads, that's when I miss the STI as it was just planted to the road and I could confidently just toss it into corners, a lot more so than the X3 even with the sport suspension.

We just did a weekend trip from Vancouver to Cannon Beach (Approx 6-7 hour drive), one we have also done in the STI, and I was happier to do it this time in the X3. Also, the amount of tech in this car Vs. the STI is night and day. which is expected as you don't get an STI for the comfort or technology so having all that available is really nice as well.

If I could have two Vehicles, I'd rather have something like the STI or an M3 AND an SUV (maybe not as performance oriented) but as we're only needing one vehicle right now, something like the X3 M40I is a pretty good little package.

I recently picked up a 1999 528i Touring. AKA an E39 for you bimmer guys. Bimmers are my number 1 passion and this is the 5th one I've had in 3 years lol. Had a 2003 530i before, a 2003 330i ZHP, a 2001 E46 M3, and I still have a 2008 E92 335i I'm putting up for sale soon. Was looking to downsize my monthly spending and I like the E39 chassis more than the E92. Way more easy to work on. And more money for golf now.

The bag in my signature is normally loaded into the back of a BMW 125i Coupé, and is then driven with much good noise and quickly taken roundabouts to the nearest course. It's had a little bit of an upgrade - an ECU tune to take it up past 130i levels of power, so it currently has 280 bhp. Quite a lot for a little 1 Series.

Gratuitous picture:

Have had it for 4 years now and it's been as dependable as my 7 iron. Starting to think about a change now though as it is hitting 124k miles, and have my eye on a BMW M135i.....

I had several patients who offered to bring L.A. news teams and camera crews if I would drive the lemon through the dealership's showroom. After months of unreturned phone calls from owner, GM, Sales mgr's, I notified them the news crews were coming to deliver bad publicity. They relented and I got a great car with few bells and whistles their company could service. It's been a joy to own and drive a Defender.

12 of 14 clubs are Cobra.

Just sold my 2015 F350 powerstroke platinum since i sold my business/heavy equipment and got out of the construction industry. That was my 3rd powerstroke over the last 10 years. I LOVED my powerstrokes though. Switched to a 2007 Lexus LS460l w/executive package (opposite end of the spectrum) Thing is on a level with Rolls Royce/Bentley but with reliability of a Toyota. People in the backseat can watch tv, get a massage in reclining back seats with ottoman on passenger side and even store stuff in refrigerator. I want a newer one but the new Lexus line has to be the UGLIEST line of cars on the road. Thing gets 30mpg hwy and when needed can really move for being a 5,500lb car. 0-60 in 6sec. Only has 100k on it so it should last long enough for Lexus to change their look. If not ill get a S500 or new Lincoln Continental. Got a thing for big luxury cars now after being rattled to death in 1 ton diesels for the last 10 years.

Love the old Defenders! I remember looking at one of the 110's in the showroom in Scottsdale in '93 and wondered why anyone would pay as much (or more) for one of those as a new Range Rover. Hindsight...

The car is the 1st I've owned thats appreciated over time.. It's been quite trouble free, dependable, attracts good attention too. You see a lot of 110's overseas. My serial # is 0005.

Tacomaworld will be the death of you. lol You will drop some serious dough! Tacomaworld is one of the best forum's out there.

Tell me about it. TRD Pro grill and hidden 2 row light bar behind the lower bumper grill get mounted next week. Not doing any suspension mods though while it will see a lot of dirt the off road trim is more than sufficient. The lights i actually kinda need i spend a fair amount of time pre sunrise on FS roads to trailheads the stock ones are not gonna cut it for me to avoid animals and the possible illegal immigrant out there.

Nice! I had a white MK3 GTI VR6 that was tuned, ABD intake nuespeed 1.75 inch drop. Cams, exhaust, and chip running about 250 motor HP. That thing was fun would smoke M3's up to 04 when they really bumped up the HP. Was such a fun car to drive until I blew the motor out.

The MK3/MK4 bodys are probably my favorite besides the MK7s :good:

I absolutely love this car. With the JB4, I should be pushing around 250-260 WHP and close to 290-300 ft-lb of torque (havent been to a dyno). I would love to put a downpipe in, but Cali laws love to ruin all the fun.
