Need some help from the Titleist wedge guys!

I have never been a titleist wedge player, so I need some help. I recently purchased some chrome SM6 wedges. I actually think they feel really good coming from a forged Mizuno MP T11. I sorta like the soft clicky feel. My question is do the black wedges feel better? Since you can strip them and let them rust a bit, are they softer feeling. I would like some glare reduction as well.

I’ve only hit a few shots with a friends stripped SM6, can’t say it was any different feel wise. It will help with glare reduction as the SM6 chrome is shiny. I normally go for the gun metal or grey versions because of the glare, which is one of the reasons I haven’t updated to the SM7.

I bet the difference is negligible. They feel almost as good as a forged wedge. I was impressed with it versus the T7s. Thanks Bye

They wouldn't rust on their own, just turned a dull grey color. Hit them with some spray I mixed up and they rusted right up.

They wouldn't rust on their own, just turned a dull grey color. Hit them with some spray I mixed up and they rusted right up.

 

What did you use in the spray?

It’s interesting I was just in the store and there were lots of M and K grinds left on the shelves. I thought M stood for most played/popular. I really like my K grind, so that surprises me.

I mixed up 4 cups of vinegar, two cups of hydrogen peroxide, half cup of salt shake good, spray it on and it instantly starts to rust.

The longer you leave it on the more it rusts. Clean it with water and a wet towel. It will wash off the excess rust leaving the rest. If you want it darker repeat. But once the rust sets in it will continue to rust very well without the spray. If you dont like the looks sand it off and start again.

You can also Google it, there are several formulas available.

You can also use a 4 (peroxide) - 1 (vinegar) - .5 (salt) ratio if you want as well. That works as well.
