Callaway MB's 18 vs Razr musclebacks

just curious if anyone has played both.... i have played the razr muscleback for a long time and love them.. just wondering how the new 2018 MB's compare to the them...

I never tried the Razr MBs, but I just hit the 2018 Apex MBs at a Callaway demo day. A friend invited me to play at his course in NC last week. The Callaway rep was doing the ball challenge and I said I wish you had the Apex MBs to try. As I was warming up he came over with one with the PX 6.0 in it. I could not believe how good it felt and how straight I hit that 7 iron. I have never got along with the boardy feeling of the PX shafts, but for some reason in that head it felt super easy to hit. I am seriously pondering getting a set of the 2018 Apex MB. I have to try them at the local PGA Tour Superstore.

Make sure you try a long iron with the px shaft before you commit. I tried them in my set of mp33s, they felt ok in the short irons but felt all wrong from the 5 up. Different strokes, different folks and all that, but food for thought at least.

Played a lot of blades. The RAZR MB's IMO were one of the best playable blades off the rack in a decade. They were and still are an exquisite iron. One of callaways all time greatest
