Rogue or Rogue SZ??

I did a search and found nothing, but if there is already a post on this please point it out to me.

 

Going to test each of the regular Rogue and the Rogue SZ soon, but was wanting to hear some comments from those who have either one or both

Both are low spinning heads from countless amounts of days spent comparing them on the trackman. Standard head is obviously more forgiving and higher launching. The subzero loves to hit flat drives that go forever. Also has a more solid feel/ sound to it. If you have any specific questions let me know.

SZ’s Head shape is much nicer that the regular elongated garbage.

SZ looks more traditional as pointed out already. It really suited my eye. When hit well, the SZ was killer. My drives would just go and go. I ended up trading it in for the G400 LST because the SZ was pretty punishing on mishits. The G400 is by far a more forgiving driver. Haven’t regretted swapping them in the least.

Ordered my SZ yesterday, finally :P

 

Hit both 2 month ago... my SS is 110

the SZ was much better for me in distance and Dispersion!

The forgiveness should be great in the SZ too

And it looks much better at address

Rogue.

 

Sub zero loses quite a bit on off center misses compared to rogue. And rogue is plenty low spin enough if you find the right combo. It got me me sub 2k with a 2200 average ... down from a 3400 average with 17 m1. Subzero was around 1700 with same shaft. Less speed plus lower spin equaled less carry.

Just sold the Rogue sub zero.

 

On center hits, it was a great club. The slightest mishit was always punished. YMMV

 

TLDR: Sweetspot hits were magnificent, anything outside the bars was outside the fairway.

 

Replaced it with a G400 Max. I really hate the phrase “point and shoot” but man is it fitting in this case.

 

As for your question, I’d go Rogue over sub zero.

It was SZ simply due to headshape for me. Im very shape sensitive at address, I like a certain look.

 

Its extremely long on center hits, but I agree it can punish if you are off. However it is not much different in forgiveness from other player 3w (low spin models) but definitely one of the longest/most satisfying.

 

I paired with a Diamana B 80X. Its already had a few highlight shots on driving short par 4s, but I have also lost noticeable distance on slight mishits. It's on the slightly demanding end of club and I will game it in mid season form no hesitation. However I do still keep my XR 3Deep on hand for my mortal days.

#1 G400 Max, #2 Rogue/SZ for me. If you want lower spin, go with the SZ vs. the Rogue. LST is another option for low spin from Ping.
