Educate Me On SS 1.0P

Can someone educate me on the superstroke 1.0P. I like the ultra slim 1.0 but I don’t like the reverse taper. I like the pistol shape GTR 1.0 but I don’t like the sharp edges and like more of the rounded feel of the ultra slim 1.0. Will the 1.0P feel like the ultra slim rounded with a pistol handle? I see there are some SGP 1.0P on eBay and before I spend the money I wanted to see if anyone has tried them.

It is definitely more rounded than the GTR. I have compared them side by side and it is actually very similar in size and shape to a midsize matador grip from Cameron, if you're familiar with those. This is my favorite grip of all time, it's just a shame they are so hard to find (not the blue/yellow Sergio version, the plain old black and white!)

The Matador is longer, but overall pretty similar.

I have the SGP and I love it. From what I know it is basically a shortened version of the "claw"-grip SS used to make a couple of years ago. It is a really nice grip and the SGP is probably a bit easier to get than a 1.0p.

Thank you semarlor, the information and pictures make it very helpful. I have a Cameron & Crown M2 so I am familiar with Matador grip. I do prefer the standard Matador over the midsize Matador. I do wish I could find the black and white but as mentioned they are hard to find.

I have a few of these thanks to the fellas at SS. Great guys/gals. This might be obvious, but, I believe they don't sell them because they go against the "Say no to taper" campaign. They absolutely taper. But, if a guy like Rahm says he wants a tapered SS...well, you follow.

 

I do hope as they make more and more styles (irons and putter grips) that they become more known for the fact that they make great grips vs non-tapered ones.

Love this grip, picked up another two. What I genuinely like most about it is how it looks more normal at the bottom. I could get away with the gtr tour but it just doesn’t look as good.

Apparently they have said this before but I'm still hopeful especially if they release it with the new traxion material because i think it feels so much better than the originals.

They've been saying this for years... it goes against their ENTIRE branding strategy of "say no to taper" - they even print that on all of their counter core grips. I would love if they released it in the new Traxion line but I'm not holding my breath.

Yes more or less the 1.0p is probably alittle heavier and slightly larger.

Jus FYI I ordered one of these and they weigh 57 grams, not the 80 grams as advertised. I assume that means foam underlay and not rubber. Not what I wanted.

 

However the shape is excellent, hope they release the Traxion 1.0p with rubber underlay.
