Yes, you would be correct. Ping makes special i5 heads for him with conforming grooves. Do you see the tiny little dot about a half inch above and to the right of the 'i5' logo in the cavity? That is the mark that denotes the updated legal grooves. If you look at the USGA site in the conforming grooves section, it shows a picture of the conforming i5 heads with said small dot.

Anyone else pick up on he has white, yellow and black dots on the irons and wedges. I wonder if this the dots are accurate or if they have been bent and colors not changed.

Yes. My main driver (my 983) has a YS 6 stiff and it is the most perfect driver I have ever hit (and the shaft is perfect for me, apparently).
