Ping Crossover Help

Has anyone added a Crossover 3 iron to their Ping G or G400 set? If so, did you add the 1st gen (black) or 2nd gen and are you satisfied with results?

The 2nd gen is way better. but they are both ugly as sin.

I have had both and currently have the G400 crossover 3, agree that it is better than the first generation. Takes some getting used to in terms of looks and sound but I like it better than a hybrid and it’s way more forgiving than a regular 3 iron. Very satisfied with the results right now.

I have one I'm about 6 rounds in the performance is great but I don't know if I can get over how big it is compared to my 712u 2 iron , the jury is still out

The second generation is a lot better and I think it’s better then my hybrid

Hi, I played the gen1 crossover 4 for a couple of years. Great when I hit it well long and penetrating flight so suited me better than a 4hybrid. However as easy as it should be to hit I was very inconsistent with it, I think because of its length. After trialing gen2 I decided to buy a rogue pro 4 iron. I couldn’t be happier. It’s easier to hit very forgiving and straight. Does the job the crossover did and more and I’m much more confident with it.

The G Crossover 3 launched too low. The G400 Crossover 3 was better in all respects expect one; they were both equally marginal from the turf.

I have the first generation 18* #3 Crossover with the stock stiff shaft and I haven’t been able to gel with it... My19* G30 #3H isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. I am confident from the tee box and off the deck with my G30. Not so much with the Crossover though...
