Edel Wedges Arrive

Just received my Edel Wedges, 55 and 60 driver grind. Match my Edel iron specs. +1 lie and KBS Tour 90s shafts. Orange and black (Oklahoma State) and my sons names engraved. 5 year old on the sand wedge and twin 3 year olds on the lob wedge. I'm blown away, these look and feel amazing!

amen brother. I pulled the trigger on the SL irons but could not leave behind my SM7 wedges. The Edel wedges were softer and did feel better but my Titleist wedges just work for me. The digger grind was ridiculous. I kind of found a better suited girl for me but decided to keep my old battle axe because she is still perfect. Check them out..

Recently picked up a 3 wedge set. Really like them for short and partial shots, but have been struggling with full shots. Seem to have a tendency to hit high push fades that end up 10-15 yards shorter than what I was seeing with a set of RTX-3's of the same lofts. Has anyone else seen any similar struggles with full shots? I'm wondering if the shape of the head just has me setting up with the club face a bit open on full shots.

Haven't seen that. Note the sweet spot is a little further out on edels. You might be hitting on/towards the hosel.

 

Full shots are why I'm now on a three slwedge set rather than getting the gap from my irons. But, I also use normal iron shafts in my wedges. I was getting really inconsistent flight with wedge shafts.

What kind of golf bag is that? Looks like the one that locks the clubs in place. Do you like it?

 

Ogio Silcencer....love it. Club grips lock into the bottom. Like a press fit. They dont rattle around while driving in a cart.

Enjoy! I have a 51, 56, and 60. Love the way the 60 feels and glides really well. 51 and 56 have spinner + shafts in them and while I love the heads, the shafts just aren't doing it for me anymore.

There was a barrel full of new Edel wedges at the PGA Superstore on HHI yesterday for $99 each. I came real close to buying one of those beauties. Gonna wait until I demo the new Clevelands.

Love the Edel wedges! Just got my first set last winter, and they're the best I've played since the old school 588 RTG's. Enjoy!

Here is my question on the Edel wedges. I don’t live near a fitter but I know that I would need the “trapper grind.” What else would I need to know before ordering them. I’ve always bought wedges off the rack.

Like angle and length. Do you have a wedge you like or are your irons "x" degrees upright/flat from norm? I have mine set up just like my PW, same length and then go down from there. I did get the SW up though. I like heavier wedges.
