Srixon's new Z785 driver

Very interesting... I loved the feel of the Srixon z745 driver, but never kept it in the bag. The z765 3 wood had a great ball flight, but sounded like hitting a metal trash can.

 

The new 785 line looks impressive. Great stock/custom shaft offerings (Pro orange/blue for $100 upcharge :yes: ), and great looks. I'm definitely going to give these a try.

Meh, I'll wait until I see some positive reviews from members on here. Love the WRX tech talks, but everything is so positive. Will likely test them but always appreciate insight from others on here as well.

Don't sleep on the 545/745 series drivers. Great ball speed and very forgiving.

As far as I know Keegan Bradley and GMac are using the 785 Drivers and Matsuyama is testing it. The head shape looks very good and not too large. Can't wait to hit one when they become available @ the PGA SS near me.

 

On the website it says you can adjust lie, loft and face angle as well.

The lie, loft and face angel cannot be adjusted independently. It has the same settings as the 765. Got mine on order today, cant wait to hit it...

I just spoke with someone in customer service and they said they will be shipping with lead times to have the drivers on people's doorstep on 9/14. So I assume that some people will have it a few days early.

It’s a good risk for them to take with the 60 day money back. Maybe they will sell more than 3,000 drivers world wide. Hard to believe 2MPH faster than everyone else.....guess we will find out...

That’s actually the number I’ve been hearing in the bag as well, with plenty more testing. Robotic testing showed an average of 2-3 mph more ballspeed over EVERYTHING else. Can’t wait to try one

Love the look of this one. it does look a lot like the Rogue, but hopefully the sound is better. I tried the Rogue and couldn't stand the sound!

I hit the Z785 and the TS2/TS3. To me the Z785 wins on looks and feel. What I don’t know is the performance head to head. Anyone do a comparison yet?

Used this driver for the first time on the course in Ireland yesterday.... wow. It’s the best driver I’ve played yet. Lots of speed and distance. It was a little soft out there from AM Rains but managed to hit a few 350 plus including one about 380. Excellent sound and feel and the ball takes off on a very flat trajectory. Normally I like really open looking face angles, but I haven’t messed with this one yet and have been hitting a nice little draw... penatrating. I’ll get it on a monitor today or tomorrow. The hotel I’m at has a simulator.
