Both Kordas are in Korea playing this week's KLPGA major championship.

Is it a sponsorship thing? Although I don't know what the purse is in Korea I'm betting it's equal to or greater than the 1.3 M available in Portland.

Nelly is sponsored by the title sponsor , Hanwha. They have sponsored several American girls, with the prerequisite of blonde hair and long legs.

Is that wrong?

Of course not. We are running a big trade deficit with Korea , in terms of women's golf. So every little bit helps and anything goes.

Interesting. Karen Stupples is teeing it up this week on a sponsor's exemption. Says she is playing in order to gain more insights as a commentator, or something like that.

http://www.lpga.com/...battle-with-add

As long as she's been commentating she hasn't developed that yet??

Please tell me Judy is calling it a career....I really respect her for her playing career and commentating, but a 73 yr old grandmothers voice does nothing for the TV crowd, it reminds me of Granny reading me bedtime stories as a child.

We prefer Stupples only because anything said with a proper British accent makes it immediately believable and educated. Ok, I know we're actually the ones with the accent, semantics.

Anyway agree Judy needs to go, but I kind of hope she stays around precisely because she's a little past her time and the things she says sometimes cracks us up. Ball goes into the rough for the first time in 50 holes; "You're not going to win hitting drives like that..." Yeah, ok Judy, we get it.

I agree, she was a very good commentator for men's golf on ABC back in the day but her point of view nowadays is too grandmotherly. At some event this past year she went on a jag about how Mo Martin is actually not that short of a hitter. I went and looked it up and Mo Martin is perennially at the bottom of the driving distance rankings. What Judy said might have been soothing for Mo to hear, but I felt it was a gross misrepresentation of reality that had no place in a professional golf broadcast. To give one example.

I remember a month or so back (could have been in Scotland) they brought Cheyanne Woods into the booth for a couple holes, I thought she did an amazing job. Very well spoken and articulate, thought she gave some great insight into playing the conditions and some of the holes. I was also very impressed when she was describing the players thought process during certain shots. Perhaps it was just a snap reaction to something new, but if she ever gets tired of grinding out her card every season, a jump to the booth might be a great career move.

Yeah, I like this course, too bad the purse is so low I would love it to draw a better field. I'm not sure how this course is playing this year but it's usually one of two was ( I guess like everywhere lol) , soft where there's lots of scoring and the winner hits around -20 or firm and fast where the winners usually hits -14. I hope it plays firm and fast on the weekend, I find it a much better watch. I remember the greens being a little bit tricky under these conditions

Can’t imagine it will be anything but firm and fast. We’ve had less than .5” of measurable rain in the last 90 days

Eleven players in the top 10 (including ties) looking for their first win. Time for another first time winner?

On the english front, In Gee is trying but hasn't improved much in her interviews. Sei Young has made huge strides and sounds very in good interviews.

A lot of big names on the cut line So Yeon and In Gee. Going to be a nervous round tomorrow.

Su Hyun and Minjee are playing very well recently and this is looking good for Australia for the crown.

I'm assuming Michelle will tee it up one tournament before the International Crown to test the wrist. I hope she doesn't wait until the IC, and then discover it's not healed enough to play.

... Dang you In Gee, quit toying with my emotions!

Gaahhh, Miss Chun did *not* read this message! Right up to the last hole ... I was already ready to feel upset! Whew, very relieved.

Jing did the same sort of thing too, saved herself, very happy!

Robynn Ree, huh?

Ok.

I did the same thing, who's that!

Gonna be cheering for Team Australia this weekend, go Minjee and Su!
