Rehashing an old thread; but curious to see if folks are still loving these?

I love hitting long irons; how have the coverts to the Ft Worths felt about effectively losing a club between the traditional 3, 4, and 5 irons? Any issues there in terms of distance gaps and/or course management?

Thanks!

Do not notice many changes in yardage in the 22,26 and 30 at all. I just treat the 22 degree as a 3 iron and a 4 iron in my head and the rest are a 5-pw. Great irons. As with any new set of clubs, you must adjust to yardages. But as stated, very minimal changes.

I have played Hogan irons for over 25 years ( 8 different sets). These are as good as the 2000 Apex Plus and as forgiving. Took a few rounds to get used to the loft numbers on the heads and just wrote numbers with a sharpie until I got used to them. As I look at it, a 13 degree fairway could be a 2 wood or a 3 wood. You could always have the loft and lie adjusted if you do not feel comfortable.

I highly recommend these clubs. I put Modus 3 120 shafts on them and hit them higher. I am in my late 40's and do not swing as hard as I used to as I did a few years back.

Hope I answered your question.

Good Luck!!

No issues as I don’t seem to hit long irons into greens very often. I actually kind of liked it as it allowed me to put in a 64 degree wedge.

Just put a set of Ft. Worth 15’s in play after one quick range session. Brand new irons and I get the “Swing” in our group of twelve. I was needless to say a bit concerned about how I would do with them under pressure but ended up having one of my better iron striking days. I was coming from a set og Ping i200’s and I really feel that I am more accurate with the Hogans, distance seems the same. Will give them another go today.

I have a set coming as well. These look an awful lot like the old MP32's, which were one of the very best irons of all time IMO. Same idea with that cutout right behind the hitting area.

It's going to be very interesting, when I used to play the MP32's I used to think the same thing, for a blade they were actually surprisingly forgiving. In fact, I found the 32's and 60's really no different in forgiveness, even though they were hyper marketed as such. But over time, I've slowly realized that might be more generally true. Think about it, I'm surprised that we have not seen manufacturers put these iron "types" in iron byron and just hit some off center shots to SHOW us how forgiving their flagship "improvement designs" are. The only conclusion I can draw, they don't want to show us that because we would all be shocked at how small the actual differences are and perhaps stop falling for the marketing and buying new clubs every 6 months.

Seriously, with all the money they spend on marketing, how come no manufacturer has quantified off center forgiveness, it's always just all general marketing speak (improved, the best, farther, longer, easier....)? Taylormade (to their credit) did have that video series where they hit the RSI on the toe and heel and showed it had little affect. But why can't someone do that with different designs and show us the results?

But I digress. I'm super excited to try these out. They look awesome, and I'm hoping they instantly remind me of the MP32s!

I think this year, recently anyway. I agree, I don't like black either (don't know why so many seem to, that's the new hot iron color).

I found a like new set in the secondary market with the old finish
