Heading to Kohler this weekend. I have a 9ish tee time on the Straits one of the days and have been trying to get an earlier time so i can get 36 in (free replay round with package on Irish or Meadows) with no luck. Anyone have any luck with getting earlier tee times closer to the date with people possibly cancelling? Also, what happens if Irish or Meadow Valley doesn't have any openings prior to 230 (latest time to get full 18 in)? Am i screwed?

Are you playing a solo or part of a group? I played solo last summer and was able to join an earlier group by arriving early. My scheduled tee time was 9:30ish and I arrived to the course around 7:15 -7:30 with hopes of going off early. I figured worse case, I'll sit out back and enjoy a drink over looking the course. Upon checking in, I asked if there were any twosomes going out early that I could join and was able to get out at 8:20. Still allowed plenty of time to putt and warm-up on the range.

i have a 7:50am tee time on thursday and they told me I won't have time to do 36 on the strait......

I'm only guessing here, but I assume they'd refund the money you paid for that free replay.

Im a little confused by your post....so you have a package on the Irish or Meadow Valley and you get a free replay on Whistling? Yet it appears you are playing your round on Whistling first with nothing confirmed on either of those courses?

 

This may not help you, but I will throw it out there. Do you know you can play a round on Irish or MV and then you get a 'replay rate' on any other course? Maybe you can play Irish or MV in the morning and Straits in the afternoon?

The Irish Course is same location as the Strait. You should be able to get 36 in if you can get your 2nd 18 started by 2:30

What time does it get dark out there? I'd assume you could go as late as 3 and still get 18 in? Seeing sunset at around 19:15, so tack on another 30mins after that.

As a single you should have no trouble getting out again, pretty much as quickly as you'd like, but of course if you are already at one of the two properties playing again there makes it that much easier.

We typically did River/Straits/Irish and replay whichever, although another option is to pop down the road to The Bull. We've also gone back out on Straits (obviously you have to pay some for that) but if you really want to get a second round in and are not worried about paying for it, you should be fine.
