I just had a fitting with the mc501 and I was blown away. Surprisingly very forgiving and long. I was hitting it against my pxg 0311 and they were the same distance even though pxg is 3 degrees stronger.

 

I then though I was god and tried baby blades and suddenly I was terrible. I was 15 yards shorter.

 

Bottom line is I am not a blade guy but the mc501 was amazing and I am going to order them

 

And is the MC501 is cheaper than your PXG?

I’ve been playing CB57 4-6 and MB001 7-PW.

 

How are the long irons performance-wise in the MC501? More CB-ish or blade-like?

I’ve been playing these clubs all summer and are Paired with modus3 130 s.

 

I’ve owned seven different sets of Miura. In my opinion, There are easier to hit then the CB 57 , and the CB 501. The look reminds me of the Mizuno T-zoid From the back but at address, they look almost exactly like The mb 001 with a very slight touch of offset. I’ve hit them side-by-side with my MB001 going back-and-forth from club to club and I can’t tell the slightest difference in feel. Same shafts in both. MC 501 are easier to elevate.

 

I’m A below scratch golfer so maybe take forgiveness with a grain of salt ... though I have had probably 15 people try these clubs this year with handicaps ranging from 0 to 10 and all of them are shocked at how easy they are to hit and how good they feel. I’m honestly looking for another set of heads to buy for when I wear these out. Can imagine playing these for the next five years and I’ve never said anything like that before . I have owned at least 80 sets of irons in the last five years.

I've been playing this game 22 1/2 years and over that period of time I don't believe I've cumulatively HIT (and I'm talking once at a store in the simulator kinda hit) that many different sets.

This is Literally the first time in years that I’ve had one set for six months. And have no intentions of changing.

 

I must admit that I’ve had an eNormous problem through the years... :(

Is the a difference between miura giken MC-501and Miura MC 501? Sole width and offset etc?

Not to my knowledge. MG MC 501 is for the Asian market while the M MC 501 is for other markets.

Has anyone heard of fake MG MC 501 and Miura MC 501 irons being sold online? There are a few questionable links I will share below. The ebay ones seem more legit than the others. Prices ranging from ~$400-800 for a set of heads only, which seems a little cheap although MC 501 seems to be cheaper than other lines based on demand possibly?

Scrutinizing the pictures, the ebay listings seem possibly legit as far as forging pattern, stamps, etc, but the others are absolutely concerning. I do believe this would be a very difficult set to counterfeit. Additionally, the Miura versions seem to have FORGED on the hosel, while the Miura-Giken model does not from what I can tell. Can anyone verify if this is true?

These sites keep using "MiURA" instead of "Miura" for whatever that is worth.

Can anyone provide useful input? Thanks for the help in advance!

They are fake from China. If you can find them on DH Gate and compare the pictures you will notice the striking similarity.Same goes for the KM009 putter as well. I almost fell for the KM-009 putter.

Thanks for the input. I contacted the eBay sellers and they even admitted they were fake....

Kind of ridiculous, but cant believe how real they look. They are almost still tempting.

I put a thread up in the deal/no deal section a while back detailing the fake 501s I had seen. They are very prevalent to say the least.

I heard from another person that the ones from China are cast and not forged.
