Mizuno MX-23s still gaming them?

Anyone still gaming the MX-23s? I still have a set but I haven’t played them in some time.

In my opinion the majority of MX and MP mizuno irons are timeless. The 23's are no different. I don't play them anymore but I'm sure they'd hang with anything out today loft for loft. And probably feel better.

Played them many irons sets ago - a nice set but you might want to compare it to what's out there in a sim at your local retailer.

My dad still uses my old set that was my first iron set when I picked up the game.

I thought so, been wanting a stiffer shaft in my gamers Ping G25s , and have been thinking about going a bit flatter. My MX-23s have S300s innthem and are 2deg flat, may need to give them another go.?

Had these many iron sets ago. Would think they are still great irons to play. As stated above, the lofts on those would be different than the modern lofts you see on today’s iron sets.

Re-retired mine just last winter, when I decided to make the move to graphite for age-related reasons. Great clubs, but I cant really ever see myself going back after my MP18 experience.

Yes, and no plans to change. I reshafted them with some recoils over the winter due to some elbow issues and they continue to be great.

Been playing my MX-25’s for a decade. Great feeling iron for sure. Just ordered the 919’s so these will retire to the garage. Single tear.

Still? I am just starting to use them. I have a set coming this week from 3Balls. I have been playing MP 32's but I feel I could use a little more help. I hope they are everything everyone says about them much like the 32's.

I grabbed a 4 iron to round out my combo set. I like how it looks and it has solid forgiveness and launch. I dig it. Mizuno irons are timeless in my book.

Bought a set of a member here when I first joined the WRX. Played some of my best golf with them. They had dynalite shaft that supposedly is high launch. Used to hit the 4 iron 200 yards carry..maybe I need to switch to a softer 'high' launch shaft lol.

I played the 25s for a while. If I can find a set, even just the heads i would buy again. They were so smooth.

I have played my MX-20s forever now. Amazing blend of performance, forgiveness and feel with a great low offset look. I keep buying other sets of irons to keep in the closet for the backup bag though. :)

The MX-20s were the best of all mx series irons due to least offset. Loving my apex cf16s now.

1st time playing mx23 this week. Gamed MP4,MP5,MP32. They are just a good solid iron

MX-23 were my first set of Mizunos.  Gamed them for almost 10 years.  The sole is a little wider than modern "player cavity" irons, but the aggressive leading edge and trailing edge relief makes them play effectively thinner.  

 

I still have the set, up at my buddy's house in NJ so I don't have to travel with my sticks.  Was up there last Sept and got a round in.  It was like putting on your favorite pair of jeans.  I could easily go back to gaming these full time.

I put my MX-20s in the closet when I got my JPX919 Forged irons a few years back.  I still get the urge to pull them out and put them back in the bag for a round.  I loved those clubs.

I had a Rifle shafted set of MX-23s back in the day. This was when Royal Precision still made Rifle shafts. They feel was incredible with them. Absolutely fantastic irons. They were one of my favorite sets.

I've wondered how much I'd like them today. Or is like other things when go down memory lane, like that really hot girl we dated for a year (but forget how moody she would get) or that favorite car from when we were young (but forget how unreliable it was). Nostalgia often seems to filter out the things that made us move on and leave us with memories of the good stuff.

I still have my MX-23s.  Great clubs.  Between the MX-23s and the MP-33s I had before, I’m a big fan of Mizuno irons.  I am gaming their STZ woods now and they’re solid too.

I've got a set that I'll be keeping forever.  Look great, feel great, super easy to hit.  Still among the straightest I've ever hit.  Somewhat short, but who cares when you're throwing darts.  I've moved on to other shiny things, but I could 100% game them full time.

My set of MX 23’s are in my vacation bag.  Played one of my lowest rounds last year in Colorado with them in the bag.

Still have a set of MX-23s and a set of MP-57. Took them out last year and they felt as good as when I first had them more than a decade ago.

I am playing Mx17 and I dont plan to change soon. Very high launch and forgiving.
