I also game the XR16 Pro & honestly find it the best driver I’ve ever played. When the swing is off I generally miss to the toe but the 16 Pro still goes in the general direction I’m aiming for, just love this driver.

My best buddy plays the 400LS with the exact same shaft & flex as I do Kiyoshi Gold 75x with lofts almost the same too.

I’ve hit it on numerous occasions with good results too all be it a few yards short for me, I’ve had a 4 month lay off due to work overload without touching a club.

Played my 1st game just on Wednesday & as can be expected, my swing was way off for the 1st 9 holes or so, driver & short game suffering the most. I thought it would be a perfect time see how forgiving the two drivers are. After missing fairways both sides with my 16Pro I grabbed the 400LS & started missing to the left only but wider than the 16 Pro. As the swing got some feel & memory back the 16 started finding fairways but the 400 stayed left primary cut.

I have concluded that either I’m just so in tune with my gamer that’s why it got better sooner or, it is just more forgiving, at no point, this past Wednesday or before has the 400 made me wonder if I should get one. XR16 Pro is here to stay.

Fit with the right shaft/head combo, G400 drivers are hard to beat. Had a couple of hits with the new TS line, great sticks too! ;)

It depends a lot on your clubhead speed.

I play the XR16 Pro in the stock R-flex shaft (see below) - set 10.5*... and open to avoid pulls - and get reliable tee shots from it. In fitting I tried it with both a lighter and a more aggressive shaft, but the stock worked best.

I have tried previous generations of the Ping low spin drivers, the G30 LS and the G LS, with similar results. Half the shots didn't really get airborne that well. Sub-90 CHS was a major contributor.

From the Oban X75 shaft he plays, Fubuman has quite a bit more clubhead speed than I do.

Tpup21, get on a launch monitor and compare the X16P and the 400LS side-by-side. That's the only way to tell for sure.

Also, you need to be more specific than "...seem to struggle." All of us struggle when our swing is off - it's known as operator error. I suggest you get a swing check to make sure your setup and your driver settings aren't hurting you.

One word to describe XR16 Pro is consistency. Still long and easily workable. Tried every other brand and can't get rid of it. Ping G400 may be a tad longer but not enough to justify keeping it. Just got a TS3 and will play my first round today, will see if XR16 still rules.

I always say get fit, but for me the XR16 Pro wasn’t good enough to warrant carrying at the time. So compared to the LST it’s not really a fair fight.

I also play the XR Pro 16, I have not seen the need to change to anything

yet. Did toss a real speeder in it, and

just a solid performer. Comfortable with it. Able to work the ball decently, good

club, just point it, and it goes with good forward roll once it hits the fairway.
