Crazy rumor of the day: Justin Rose to Honma?

Hoping this isn’t old news, but I heard from someone typically reliable on insider info when it comes to club contracts, that Justin Rose has signed a deal with Honma.

I seen this guy with Honma clubs once at the Chelsea Piers.

 

They were all gold and the guy was smoking and talking on the phone a lot in Japanese.

 

He couldnt really play golf but

Makes sense. On this very site, there was an article about Honma planning to have professionals on staff as part of their new strategy with the former

Yeah, makes sense with "plans to have a tour strong presence." With him playing so well, he'll be constantly on TV.

I imagine TM need to cut some costs but letting one of the best players on the planet go would seem a bit odd. Honma irons and hybrids are superb. Classic looks. But Rose is not the kind of player to shift hardware and Honma are a niche product outside Asia.

Played Honma blades in the late 80's, beautiful club, they got stolen and then with insurance money went down the Wilson Rd starting with the 51's.

Have a number of persimmon drivers from back then as well.....they’ve always made great stuff imo
