RBZ Stage 2 Tour. I go through fairway woods like some people go through toothbrushes and this once stuck in the bag for a long time.

***TM V STEEL***

Caveat, i've owned about 5 different types of 3 woods within the past 2 years, (Ping G, M2 2017, 917F2, G400, 917F3). I came across a pristine TaylorMade V Steel 15° and decided to purchase it off eBay for a whooping $29.99. Also grabbed a made for TaylorMade SLDR Speeder 77x fairway shaft from eBay for $25.58. Needless to say, this Frankenstein club just works for me. Drove it off the tee yesterday about 260yds (possibly one of my best fairway wood tee shots of all time) and can hit it off the deck nicely around 230yds-240yds. I find the appearance of the head looking down rather nice and the feel/sound amazing. Yes I am a tinker however, I think I am sold on this club. Its one of the rare longer clubs I can now grab with confidence.

I played Ram Concept fairway woods in 18° and 23° for years, around 2001? Great feeling and performing clubs, I especially remember hitting a lot of great shots with the 23°. I could play them today without a complaint, although I'd probably swap out the shaft. Anyone remember these?

Now THAT is a perfect example of a sleeper.

For someone to say that a Callaway steelhead III or the VSteel are sleepers is laughable.

I hate myself for getting rid of this one. I loved my 5 wood and would hit it like a lot of 3 woods.

Just insane off the tee

Also strokes gained on par 5s is better because I’ll lay up with a hybrid short and pitch on instead of being dumb from 260+

I'll submit the SLDR and Nike VR Pro LTD.

The Nike is just one of the all around best 3 woods I've ever hit, if they made it in a lower loft I might be playing it. Perfect face depth for tee and turf. Also classic looks and feel.

SLDR seems to be one of the most overlooked TM fairways ever. The driver created a lot of hoopla and the fairway wood itself got sandwiched between the RBZ stuff and the love fest surrounding the M2. So relatively speaking the SLDR is a sleeper. The 14* TS is one of the longest I've hit and the flight is the most penetrating of any 3 wood I've had. It's very usable off the deck and the stock 8.3 TS in the TP version is an awesome fairway shaft.

Cleveland Quadpro. That's a sleeper.

Yeah, people saying RBZ, and SLDR, and even V-Steel??!! That thing is a legend... maybe a handful of woods in these posts in this thread have legitimate sleeper potential... Another one that comes to mind is the Sonartec GS Tour, my buddy still has one in his bag.

Callaway razr fit went way under the radar. I believe it came out about the same time as the RBZ. The razr fit was just as long, was forgiving, and had a nice small profile.

I agree, rbz fairways and stage 2 rbz, xhot pro etc heads are not sleepers. The rbz has to be one of the most played and game changing fairways of all time. Too many of these posts relate to the greatest fairway woods ever.

5 wood is the sleeper fairway wood.

3 woods are notoriously difficult, but anyone can hit a 5 wood for some reason. And for a lot of players, the 5 wood will go as far as a 3 wood.

Agree 100% but stock shaft sucked bad. Put a blue board and away we go. Too bad it took 2+ years to

Figure it out. Small head very forgiving and it went long

Yea, but at that time many stock shafts weren't great, and upgrades were limited or more expensive. Funny you mention, cause I did put a blueboard in it, and it became an even better club.

Thinking about it.

It’s hands down the TEE CB2. It’s was miles ahead of the competiton 10 years ago and can still compete with modern 3 woods. I can’t think of another club that can say this.

Again, that is NOT a sleeper... Far from it.

It's a legend that was found in the bag of Kuchar,Sneds as well as several other Tour Pros over the years. It is also historically one of the most popular Fairway Woods on this website... With the likes of the VSteel, Steelhead III, and 07 Burner TP.

Legends, NOT Sleepers.

And for God's sake people, stop calling the RBZ and RBZ Stage 2 sleepers!!!!!
