We've stayed at barefoot 4 times now, everything has been great. No issues with condo, morning buffett included, courses are fantastic. We'll be at barefoot again in mid October. Can't compare it to legends because we've never been there.

Would definitely be a long drive from barefoot to True Blue/Caledonia, but worth it because those 2 courses are awesome as well.

Legends is only 10 miles closer than Barefoot to Caledonia. They’re both over 30 min drive. I wouldn’t let that be the deciding factor.

If you’re ok with driving around during your trip, just make sure to book courses close to each other on the same day. You don’t want to play two courses 30 min apart if you’re trying to get 36 holes in.

Know that it’s close to an hour drive from North Myrtle to the south end of the strand. If you aren’t up for that much driving, stick to one end, and play the other end on your next trip.

Also, you can run into frost delays in late Fall and early Spring. You might want to stay farther south if you’re going then. That 40 miles can be the difference between starting at 7am vs. sitting in the pro shop until 9am waiting for frost to clear.

I have done both and prefer Barefoot. Legends courses are very good. Just felt like we were always being rushed through like cattle....from the meals to the rounds of golf. Overall experience at Barefoot was better for our group.

Agree that it would be a long drive from Barefoot to Caledonia/True Blue. As alternatives you could consider adding a couple of nice courses that would be closer...like Dunes Club and Tidewater.

I like Legends but after playing Barefoot normal and seeing the facilities this summer i would go there in a heart beat. I would also say Cal/TB are worth the Ride.

If you are also including the Legends courses or BF courses with the lodging selected, the BF Pkg will cost more, but it's a more

upscale place.

At Legends, dealing with the crowded 501 traffic is annoying, if you are leaving the property.

BF has some typical condos and also the higher end BF Yacht Club.

Caledonia and True Blue will be a lot easier to get to is your stay at Legends and drive down there for a 36 hole day.

Barefoot's courses are a step up in quality and experience than Legends. If you are OK paying a little more, book Barefoot over Legends every day all day!

They weren’t at the end of July. We stayed at BF but only played one round there. Every BF course had trash greens. We played the Love course which was suppose to be in the best condition and it was absolutely horrible. The condo/apartment was ok, I would request a ground floor room. We also had breakfast, which was pretty good, at the clubhouse every morning on our way out to hit other courses. Best Folgers coffee I ever had. Every guy in our group said they preferred legends.

Barefoot and it is not even close. Also Legends is only like 15 minutes closer to TB and Caledonia.

All the issues from the winter kill are gone now. I just played the Dye this past Sunday and the greens were in the best shape I have ever seen them.

Ok well that’s good. I really liked the Love course aside from the greens. We played MB National and those greens weren’t great but far better than BF. Arrowhead, Thistle, and Wild Wing were all nice.
