I haven't tried many, but I am bagging the S55 right now and I am loving them.... I thought I would hate the CFS shafts again, hated them in some i20s that I tried twice, but for some reason the CFS/S55 combo is right for me.... These irons look, feel, and perform terrifically... they are like the complete package IMO.

I'm not qualified to answer the OP's question but I game i15's and bring my Zing 2's out for an annual ride.

Whenever I read a post on here stating they'd like to have a set back that they sold, I feel very sorry for them. I've done the same. Horrible, haunting feeling. I wonder of the guy who sold me the Zing 2's ever has the same feeling.

That, my friends, is why I rarely sell a putter. I just can't stand the pain.

Have played Ping irons since 1978, and I still do. I've played every model since the early "Karsten" models. I'd have to say the Eye 2 has to get allot of recognition since they set the bar for cavity back irons.

But, their no. 1 iron thus far is the G Series irons.

The G400's are a step backwards, but I'm sure they make the necessary adjustments going forward. I think they thinned the faces out too much and made no adjustments for the crappy sound they make. I am sure that will get fixed down the road over the next year.

I've also played almost all the G series irons but I sure don't believe the 400's are a step back. Mine sound just fine.

I might have to change my answer to ZING2. I just started playing mine again. I rotate between G400, G25, Eye2, IsI, and ZING 2. The ZING2s are back in the bag again. I just found out that Lee Westwood played these during his first 12 years on tour. Now I know why.

For me, the favorite is the PING i210 Black Dot Irons. These clubs have never disappointed me. Very sturdy construction and glides well on the grass. I want to share with you a very useful golf blog, which I read https://golfwithasmile.com/irons/best-ping-irons/. Mostly from this blog, I started playing golf. Then I knew nothing and could not hold the club in my hands.

I have a set of i210 5-PW on order that is the first set of Pings irons that I have purchased with a Ping fitting. My vote would be i210. We will see if they beat out my J40 DPC irons, but the i210 performed well in the fitting. I love the look, feel, and performance. Should be an easy transition from the J40.

Strictly performance based I’d say the G15’s. They were by far the easiest set of irons I’ve ever played. Just giant and butt ugly. I recently went back to G series with the 410’s and they are showing a lot of promise for me. Can’t take down the 15’s yet, though.

Looks wise. I’d go i210’s all day.
