Adams (pre TM ) MB 2's and CMB's.

Any Adams forged iron

Agreed. I am having a hard time giving up my CB1's. I'm going to ditch the Mitsu Javln graphites, and go back to good ole X100's. I was ready to sell them and order Ping iE, but then I go out and play the CB1 and change my mind.

The CB1 doesn't get much love on this board but it is a great iron, in the league of the MB2 and CMB IMHO.

Hogan Apex Edge Pro - still throw them in the bag from time to time. Amazing feel and so easy to align. Just wish the ball flight was a bit higher or they would be my gamers.

I had a set of then 25 years ago. They were my replacement for my PingEye2 BeCu. The Yonex Tour irons were amazing. With the Ping I was a 5-8 handicap. Switched to the Yonex Tour irons and my handicap dropped to a 1.2. Forgiveness of a cavity back with the feel of forged. Later bought the Yonex Rekin Super 10. Overall very similar, but I still preferred the Yonex Tour. Would have kept them if I didn't wear out the grooves. Recently bought a 3-AW set with the original LTB Stiff shafts on eBay. I'd suggest looking there. They have more set available. I also bout a 2 iron separately (I hate the hybrids people use today). Recently picked up a matching PM 60 degree wedge, though I think the Yonex WS-2 wedge is better. All I am missing now is the Sand Wedge. These clubs instill confidence once you learn how to hit them. Not a beginners club.

"Obscure" is not the term I would use. Hard to find in the US, yes. Browning 440s would be "obscure"...and hard to find in good condition. Yonex is much more common in Japan. I've used Yonex on and off for 25 years. They are great clubs. I won 3 long drive competitions with their drivers. Depending on the model, some used sets are better than most of what is available new from other brands these days, in woods or irons. Recently saw two reviews of their 2023 driver on YouTube, and it came out as the best of the best. Still can't find a place in the US that sells them. When Phil was using them, they were not hard to find in golf stores and pro shops. Now I'm always on the prowl for used Yonex (only certain models) in good condition. In the event mine get stolen again, I want to have a matched back-up set, or something my son can use when visiting.
