Hit the popular rides first thing in the morning and try to snag all the fast passes you can. You're going at a great time of the year! Enjoy it! Best place on earth.

Take full advantage of all their luggage/gift shop/extended ride times.

Make sure to research which rides book up early for fast pass and reserve those early (think months in advance). As an example, the Avatar flight ride in Animal kingdom books up for fast pass wayyy in advance. If you don’t do this, you’ll wait for AT LEAST 2 hours, probably longer. It’s still worth it though, but I know waiting in lines takes away from the experience.

If you like to plan stuff out I would spend the $12 for a touringplans.com subscription. They have a good crowd calendar and advice on which park to go to. You can even plug in which rides you want to go on (and how many times) and it'll map out a plan for the entire day and tell you which rides to get Fast Passes for. It was very useful with kids in tow.

There are tons of websites with Disney info overload. DisBoards is kinda like the GolfWrx for Disney.

Did you use a Disney travel agent? If not, I would see if you could cancel and rebook through one. They're free (they make $$ from disney on packages booked) and a good one knows EVERYTHING about which rides and restaurants to book well ahead of time, etc. We go every other year and last time used an agent that made things perfect, even stayed up late for us to get us passes and reservations right when they became available. They even check in during the trip and will get the parks to fix any issues. I will never not use one again.

I stayed at Coronado last time with my family. I would ask them if you can get a room in or near the main hall to avoid a lot of extra walking just to grab breakfast. That resort is huge and some groups of rooms are a 10+ minute walk away. In general, you will walk SO MUCH so wear really comfortable shoes.

Spend a night seeing the fireworks show in each of the parks. To actually see animals moving on the safari, hit Animal Kingdom early in the morning and head straight to it. Since you're staying at a disney resort, each park has a day or two a week where it's open early, utilize that to hit popular rides early.

Food wise, I like the Chinese place in Epcot, the Boathouse in the downtown area, and the French pastry shop in Epcot if that's your thing. Everything else I just go where the characters are for the kids. Booze is a pain in the parks, in Magic Kingdom the only spot is the Belle's castle restaurant and the secret bar which I think you need a connection to get into. If you like drinking, drink around the world in Epcot.

I have a young lady who works for me who is an expert at Disney having worked there in college. Her and her husband go every year, I agree totally with the Fastpass suggestion above, apparently there is no other way to thoroughly enjoy the rides and not stand in line if you want to ride the important rides, get them as soon as possible, check it out.

Two words: Ep Cot...well maybe its only one, Epcot. But seriously, it’s the best park for couples without kids. Enjoy the “countries”, take in a couple of rides, and make sure you dine on fish and chips at the Rose and Crown. Disney is awesome!

We go a lot and this is what I have found helpful:

- The FastPass system is a really good thing. You have to download the app and then you can get passes to 3 rides for you and your wife that morning.

- Once you use up your 3 fast passes, you can continue to get passes. The kicker is you can only have a pass for 1 ride at a time. Go ahead and take the pass for the ride you want and keep refreshing the ride time. The time will continue to change. With some spamming, we can usually get our pass moved up to within 15 or 30 minutes of the current time. Finish the ride and then immediately get another pass for another ride. Spam the time on the ride until you get it to move up. You can ride everything at the Magic Kingdom a couple of times in one day if you do it this way.

- Do not get a FastPass to your first rides of the day. Remember, you can hold those first 3 passes all day. I recommend going to the 7 Dwarves Mine Ride as soon as you get to the park. It is always busy and the Fastpasses usually come up for later times in the day. Get that ride over with and then work your passes when the park gets busier. We usually ride the 7 Dwarves twice as soon as we get there and then move on.

- Do not waste FastPasses on rides that won't have waits. Use them on the big rides.

- Depending on the time of year, the indoor rides like Pirates of the Caribbean, It's a Small World, Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain get packed in the heat of the day. Some good stuff to do that isn't slammed when it is hot is the Hall of Presidents and the Tiki Room.

- Since you are staying onsite, use it to your advantage. You get to go to the park earlier and can go back to your room in the middle of the day to rest. My favorite time to be in the park is the morning and evening. It's just a lot nicer to me.

- As others have said, you have to make your reservations for dining at the park EARLY if you want to eat at certain places. Start planning your meals inside the park now and make a reservation. FYI, get an ice cream sandwich from the vendor outside Pinochio's. It's the only place to get them in the park and they are awesome if you like ice cream sandwiches.

- Epcot is the hidden gem of the park. Enjoy it.

- The Avatar experience is awesome, but be prepared to wait for it.

Have fun and wear comfortable shoes. It is a lot of walking. I hope I helped some.

DisBoards is a good suggestion, you can learn a lot there. Here are some of the things we've learned over the years:

First and best advice: slow down. It's easy to feel like you need to attack the parks and do everything you can do. It is way more enjoyable if you take a more relaxed pace and soak it in a little.

You are allowed to carry in more stuff than you might think. Bottled water, snacks, and my personal favorite, a cold wet rag in a ziploc. Carry a small lightweight backpack or fanny pack with this kind of stuff to save a lot of money inside the parks.

Put the WDW app on your phone, it's great. It will give you maps, wait times, etc. and it will also help you organize your fastpasses and restaurant reservations.

If you buy souvenirs you can have them sent to your resort room. No need to carry them with you the rest of the day.

Plan your restaurant meals well in advance. With some research you can enjoy some good meals inside the parks. If you wing it, you'll end up overpaying for mediocre food. It's worth thinking ahead.

Pay attention to the schedules for the little extra shows and events that are offered in the parks throughout the day. They can add a lot of fun to your day without extra cost or waiting in lines. There's a small marching band that performs on Main St in the MK, a Star Wars thing on the main drag in Hollywood Studios, and lots of music and street performers in Animal Kingdom.

Use the Disney Transportation System to visit the other resorts to enjoy different restaurants, shops, pools, spas, etc. I believe a guest of any property can use the facilities at any other property without question. Don't neglect the Boardwalk, which also has a low-traffic rear entrance to Epcot that takes you right into the World Showcase. Instead of spending extra on Parkhopper passes, break up your days by combining one park with a non-park visit (resort, spa, etc).

Go to guest relations and get a button every day celebrating your anniversary. You will find that it will open a lot of doors for you.

Along the same lines, don't be afraid to politely ask for a little special treatment. If you're friendly and reasonable you can often talk your way into an extra Fastpass or some other special experience. We usually stay off site, and I've often gotten free parking just for asking or cutting up with the person in the booth. They are likely bored out of their minds most of the time and it doesn't hurt to have some fun with them.

The people at Guest Relations seem to have more leeway than other employees, but you never know.

Pin trading can be a nice diversion. Employees wear enamel pins and will trade with park guests. Sometimes their pins are the same ones you can buy in the gift shops, and other times they're unique or limited editions that you can't find elsewhere.

Go to Hawaii. It's cheaper, has less kids, and will be put on hold for a couple decades the moment you do have kids.

If you are dead set on going, get drunk at Morocco in Epcot.

I f****** hate Hawaii, it’s just a very beautiful money pit.

If you need help about your trip just message me.
