it's not just the ball...but rolling back the ball is the easiest "fix" to the distance issue. Rolling equipment would be a nightmare and nobody is stepping up with the funds to renovate thousands of golf courses.

just play the friggin game. no changes are necessary. the amateur doesn't hit the ball farther than they used to, only the top 0.0001% of golfers do.

Did you think the same thing about Tony Finau and Trey Mullinax? Both top 5 last year on tour in driving distance and swing speeds yet using the max.

When you hit it that far, accuracy starts to be more of a premium. And the MAX is lower spin than most people realize. I think I was only around 200 rpms higher compared to the LST.

Love that he plays c tapers. I can’t figure out why more pros don’t use them. Everyone is stuck on DG. I love my c tapers!

G400 Max + hot melt = G400 Max LST

 

With all the resources that the pros have at their disposal (OEM support, shaft makers giving them product, trackman all the time etc) I'm sure they all have a lot of customization done

Sure they do. If not. Why not play steel and persimmon for old times sake ? Ask anyone over 60 if he hits it farther . You will get tons of yeses.
