ER8.3 looks great. I wonder what the toe hang will be? Is the only difference b/w the two 8.3's the shaft and grip color? New grips look nice. I kinda like the darker shaft but hope it doesn't chip or scuff easily. One of the reasons I want an Envroll is b/c of the stainless construction. My current Bettinardi BB56 is loosing finish off it way too easily.

When do these hit retail?

Who uses these on tour? Whenever I’ve tried Evnroll I’ve never been able to get past the dead feel.

Whose playing these on tour?

Not much tour use. Tour pro's hit the center of the putter more consistently than armatures, and have much better distance control. I don't think they see as much benefit from these putters. The feel is not that soft. There are al$o a few more reasons to consider $$$$.

What are the two models to the far left? Looks like the same models in two finishes - black and silver. Is that the 1.2? Looks like it may be something new, not the 1.2.

Also, are those finishes coming to retail?

I have a 1 right now but have been thinking about buying a 1.2. That might make me wait.

Evnroll has been doing there thing now for a couple of years at least, and I am shocked that I have not seen one tour pro, PGA or LPGA using one especially since they are in the very "high end" price wise. How well can they be doing trying to sell $400 dollar putters to the general public? The tiny percentage of people that are buyers out there mostly rave about them and that's fine, but not sure how they will stay in business just doing what they are currently doing. I love the looks of a few of their models, but there is no way I would pay what they are priced at for a putter...craziness.

Not that guys on tour are perfect, but the majority of them are hitting the center of the face probably 8 of 10 times. The other 2 strikes are probably not far enough from center for the EVNROLL tech to make a massive difference to them.

So unless EVNROLL is going to pay them as much as Scotty, TM, Callaway or Ping.... I doubt you'll see too many in player's hands long term. Might be better off looking on web.com, mackenzie, etc to see pro validation.

The only PGA Tour pro I know of to try an Evnroll was Ian Poulter and he ended up giving it away to a kid in the crowd. But, it's Ian Poulter.

I've tried a few Evnrolls but finally determined that the #9 style putter fits me best so I've been very happy with my TM TP Balboa lately and now Evnroll comes out with the 8.3. UGH! I'll have to end up trying it at some point just because I can't leave well enough alone when it comes to putters.

I'm digging the black shafts. I like what they are doing...some classic designs (knockoffs honestly) and some radical designs. I can't imagine what people thought when Scotty came out with the Futura X looking like an alien, yet it's still one of my favorite putters to this day.

I'd love to see one of these companies come out with a custom order site that lets you pick your plumber/slant neck length or shaft bend to give you the exact toe hang you are looking for, along with color finish and alignment aids. I look for that to be the future of high end putters.

I love that evnroll is doing more head shapes, but I don't necessarily understand the choices. Who in the world is going to buy a putter with three shafts worth of offset? Evnroll, if you're listening, please square off the back bumpers on the ER2 so it provides a set of nice, square lines to look down on and then delete the alignment line from the cavity. That putter would be in my bag in a heartbeat.

The Tour is always slow to incorporate putter tech. The last few years we are seeing a clear shift towards mallets and suspect that will continue. I’m a decent putter and I’ve never experienced the improvement I’ve seen since converting to ultra high MOI style putters. Most recently a Toulon Indy and now an Envroll 9.1. The stigma is size and distance control. After being honest about the difficencies associated with blades I’m happy to report I see neither issue for my game. And interesting to note that includes incredibly fast Midwest Country Club greens. As sexy as the blades are I will never go back. I simply can’t deny the many benefits including stability and ease of alinement. BB

They do exist, Byron, Lakosi, LaMont, etc. Just gotta put down the cash and wait.
