Somebody said the stock offering was a non-Pro Tensei Orange which is counter balanced.

Rep stopped off at the shop and I was able to snap a quick pic.

I saw this spy pic. The Ultimate Driving Machine 5, or UDM5. Looks like it has a built-in radar system for ball speed and spin. Obviously, this shot was a Pull.

But is it safe? Airbags?

I wonder if they are also including the O:LED technology to light up the fairway for night time golf. Also, an IR beam for picking lines would be great too! Love this latest M5. Take my money TM

Rep dropped by again and I was able to snap a photo of the new M6!

Twist Face Technology is reportedly being replaced by Square Face Technology. Stock shaft is a Tensei Pro Orange.

Still can’t believe square and triangle drivers were actually a thing

I would almost be willing to bet that out of 4 pages of posts here nobody has any freaking clue what the hell TM is doing for 2019. I haven't tried anything new since Rocketballz Stage II drivers. Too much hype and not enough performance increase to justify a 500.00 driver. But, hey, if you have to have the latest stuff out there then so be it. I'll do something worthwhile with my cash like invest it so when the real improvement shows up I will be able to afford that $2000.00 driver...........

I spoke with my TM Rep today he is on the advisory board. He doesn’t know the name, or color. Twistface is still in, its also in fairways. Also, TM may not be at the PGA show.

I always find these posts funny. Taylormade is no longer on the two/three drivers a year strategy. They are on some sort of / or just about an annual cycle. In 2018, we only had the M3/M4 drivers, fairways, hybrids.

If we make fun of them, it should be for some real reason - the naming scheme is funny, the colours are unique (looking at you, 2017 M2/M2), overly long shafts, speed slots in the face of their irons that cave in, etc...

Yeah. Since the M series launched they've been new every year. The mid-year S model has gone away. I find these posts funny because people get their knickers twisted like TM is forcing people to buy new clubs. If you're looking for a brand new driver, great. If you are confident that your 1-5 year old tech is working, also great. People don't get pissed off that car companies release new versions of their vehicles each year. Interested in the M5/6 like I'm interested in all new clubs - marginally.

How are TM doing financially? They kill it on tour but is that translating to retail?

From what I have seen, M3 / M4 have been a retail failure. At least compared to the previous years success..

These Twistface drivers were too expensive in my country.

Revenue up 20% this year in US

JWF

Is that due to the success of the P790s though over drivers/fairways? I don't fault TM necessarily because all prices are outrageous. Curious to know the breaking point where people stop. I remember buying a whole new set of clubs with my first tax return that was like $1400. Now that is a set of irons.

I think you answered your own question. As the prices get to the point were you're not spending "loose" cash anymore, maybe you'll keep your clubs a couple of years longer.

I know that I'm keeping my setup as is for at least the next full season, which will make it 3 seasons for most of the sticks.

I was curious to try the M3/M4 start of the season but the price was too high.. What affected was also the fact that I know TM has 1 year release cycle, we will get M5/M6 in January.

I just got an M4 slightly used and payed $405 less then it would have cost me beginning of summer from retail.
