2019 UA Golf Shoes?

Hopefully UA fixes the spike coming loose issues I've had with two of the pair I've owned and that others have written reviews on their website. I'm a big UA supporter, pretty much head to toe, but they need to figure out the golf shoe spectrum.

I just sent my UA Speth 2 back to under armour for a refund. I only played 3 rounds. I tried to look past the bad reviews but the broken spikes happened to me. SMH

I’m hoping to see something more in line with the Drive 1. Those were my favorite shoe ever!

Fuzzy, I did the same thing with my all white Spieth 2s. I got tired of spike issues. One of the spike locations was damaged so bad I could not put a regular spike in there. Super disappointing since I am a hugh UA gear person and am OCD about my brands of clothes and shoes matching. I know, i know. Weird.

I have put my Drive Ones (i have 3 colorways) back into my rotation until the 2019 UA shoe comes out. They refunded me my $215 or so for the return.

I've been wearing my Spieth 2s since May, probably have about 50 rounds on them and absolutely LOVE them. Get ton's of compliments.

 

What spike issues do you guys have?

The rotational spikes break on my left foot and I am right handed. Loved them other than the spike issue. Replaced them with regular spikes but one of the ports was ruined with debris from the spike coming out on the 1st tee.

I bought a pair of these when they were 50% off. Got them delivered yesterday. Noticed that the tongue does not have lining running up the shoes on either side. Water will enter over the top. Will have to wear them on dry days. They feel comfortable but will test it out this weekend.

Yes, I did contact UA and they refunded me the purchase price when I sent them back. I will buy another pair when the new ones come out.

These are basically golf boots, which are essential when you play in the winter on wet courses. i live in Seattle, WA and my club and many others basically go under water. I'm talking walking on the course and like 2-3 inches of water in some places.

 

I am very excited about these. Footjoy, Nike, Adidas and most others make a similar shoe, google Golf Boots and you will see.

 

That's why they just released them as fall/winter/spring are incoming.

Tried them out over the weekend. Very comfortable right out of the box. The course I was playing had some dew in the morning but they held up. I'd still like to see them copy Ecco's and have the tongue lining on the under the laces. I wonder if the other more expensive UA shoes are made that way.

This is what I was referring to as well. I've had two pair with this issue. UA's customer service was great, but I don't have a bunch of confidence in buying another pair. I too have OCD when it comes to brands and made a switch from Nike to UA a few years ago now.

 

UA shoes are so comfortable I was gonna overlook the issue and use gorilla glue, but ended up just replacing the two pair that were defective.

Those look like an awesome lightweight/flexible option for spikeless (same sole as performance sl? If so traction will be good). Not sure about a waterproof mesh though. Seems more like a good summer shoe. I think Carl's Golfland has them too. I just got the spiked tour tips and they're incredible (flexible, reinforced toe, high quality leather, super comfortable) so anything UA labels "Tour Tips" will grab my interest.

new spieth shoes will have the hovr technology they have recently implemented into their running shoe line

 

should be interesting to see how they handle to rotational spike issue as I loved my spieth's but the spike continually breaking finally made me give up

Me too. I sent my Tempo Sports back (through the local store Cardinal's) and my Spieth 2s back to UA. I hope these are as good as my Drive Ones.
