What sucks is the adapters will not fit the current line.!.

That's a bummer if you have a shaft you really like. Most major OEM's haven't really tweaked their adapters very often. Callaway is on their second version, Titleist has never changed, and I don't know about TM, but it seems they've been backwards compatible for some time. This will be Ping's 3rd version now? Not a knock on it, if it adds something to the club then I am all for it.

Actually 4th if you count the last version that added the silicon rubber ferrule.

Updated what do we know so far:

  • G410 is coming in Jan/Feb 2019
  • LS model in May – conflicting posts..one said it will not be offered, another said it will and another said it comes in a later release.
  • G400 Max remains current until July/Aug 2019 at a lower price point
  • G410 will be offered in 12* without draw weighting
  • Higher MOI than G400
  • Black with Red accents colorway
  • 455cc 445cc
  • Other thread said the driver has 3 weight ports (back, heel, toe) and not a sliding weight. Sliding weigh in the back Movable weights (not sure if this means to adjust the bias) or just in terms of a single weight that is swapable for a heavier or lighter weight.
  • New adapter allows for up to +/- 1.5°, as well as having a flatter lie angle setting.
  • Turbulators still there.
  • Crown is different without the dragonfly on the top but a "ridge-turbulator" on each side going to the back end.

LS coming in May per my rep but not sure what it will encompass as they are still working on it. 410 sliding weight in the very back of the club head, think Callaway GBB but farther back in the head and a heavier weight to increase moi.

Guess I’m confused. Some say sliding weight on G410 others are saying a 3 weight port system (back heel toe).

I’m sure this will be a very very good driver, but it just seems like an odd choice to go with a track weight.
after the success TM and others had with it? I'm guessing the only reason they didn't do it sooner is cause their g400 lst and max are selling like driver of the year

They haven’t historically so I doubt it. Their price point has been lower than the other big guys (TM, Callaway, Titleist) which I expect makes it harder for them to make the economics work for no charge upgrade shafts.

Here they are not cheaper. G400 LST is 650$ same as the Rogue or TS2 or M3

Except all of those can be had with 20+ different shafts no upcharge

The TS2/3 shaft list is pretty ridiculous

A driver like the M4 is 150$ cheaper and TMAG has a really generous list and several others that are only 50$. You can get an M4 with Fuji Pro 2.0 for 75$ cheaper than the Ping for example

So ping, at least in Canada, lags behind big time.

I thought the Xtorsion, HZRDIS Yellow And Kuro Kage were only a $30 upcharge with the G400 line. No ?

Strange, I assumed you guys were paying just the Canadian converted equivalent of the USD price. But, I suppose they treat it like a completely different market.

I think the Ping Tour shaft was $30, with the ones you listed being $90 if I remember correctly.

Since it isn't the domestic market, you have three additional costs...

#1 - Most other countries, "sales tax" or GST is built into the price, not just tacked on at the register.

#2 - Non-US countries can have an import tariff on sporting equipment.

#3 - Ping have to weigh currency fluctuation risk. Typically, it's a 7-11% buffer tacked on in case the local currency gets weak.

So when you have a US - CAN deal, you're looking at retail of US$400... add 15% GST (I don't remember it; correct me if I'm wrong). So that's:

400 * 1.3 * 1.15 * 1.09 = $652

So it's not that anyone's being unfair, but it looks bigger very quickly.

14 Pings. Blueprints are incredibly good. Fetch is the most underrated putter on the market. Don't @ me.

Retailers will have DEMOS in Feb and consumers will have them in March.

LST model will come later

It will have 3 ports for weighting, not the slider. They said the slider adds too much unnecessary weight.

It WILL have dragonfly technology on the crown.

Correct, but the upgraded shafts for Ping on the G400 i think are just 1 Aldila shaft, Hzrdus Yellow and their own tour shaft and that's it. I just wish they offered more. For 650$ Canadian i want to get the shaft i want within reason.

I got it when drivers were 399....but yeesh 650 for a driver plus another 200 or whatever to get a shaft that's been out for like 2 years. Pshhhh i say
